WAZE-TV is a television station in Madisonville, Kentucky in the United States, serving the Evansville, Indiana DMA. A current affiliate of the CW Television Network, it broadcasts on channel 19 and is owned by Roberts Broadcasting. Prior to November 1, 1997, it was an independent station that ran mostly Christian programing along with segments of HSN Spree.
WAZE-LP, channel 17, is licensed to Evansville and serves as an in-town relay of the main WAZE signal. WAZE-LP, a Class A station, previously held the call letters W52AZ and WWAZ-LP. Both stations began in 1990 -- even though full-power WAZE-TV dates its roots back to June 7, 1982 and WAZE-LP back to July 28, 1989. See below for details.
WAZE-TV also has two other low-power repeaters, WIKY-LP channel 5, also in Evansville, and W66CT channel 66 in Mount Vernon, Indiana.
The station airs the newscast The Daily Buzz weekdays mornings 5 to 8 AM.
