West Calder railway station is a railway station serving West Calder in West Lothian, Scotland. It is located on the Shotts Line from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley via Shotts. The station has two platforms, connected by a stairway footbridge, and CCTV. It is managed by First ScotRail.
It is currently served, Monday to Saturday, by one First ScotRail service each hour from Glasgow Central to Edinburgh Waverley. One train a day from Edinburgh terminates at Motherwell. There is a limited Sunday service from this station to Edinburgh.
The staple passenger traction on this line is the Class 156 "Super Sprinter", although Virgin Trains Class 220 "Voyager" units can be seen during engineering works on the main line via Carstairs.
The line is heavily used by freight, mainly coal from Hunterston in Ayrshire, to Longannet power station in Fife.
