[edit] Project scope and goals
The goals of this WikiProject are:
- To enhance the presence of Wikipedia's visual illustrations.
- To streamline the creation and improvement of these illustrations through collaboration and use of Wikipedia's sophisticated tools.
[edit] How you can help
- Find articles that would benefit from some form of illustration. This includes determining the form of illustration that would be most beneficial to the article.
- For instructions on requesting new images, see Wikipedia:Requested pictures.
- For more information on this subject, see Wikipedia:Choosing appropriate illustrations.
- Create new images. Photographers or users with image-creation talent can respond to user requests here and here. Please ensure that your images conform to Wikipedia's image use policy and quality guidelines before uploading them. Also, consider uploading free-use images to Wikimedia Commons so that they may be used across all Wikimedia projects.
- For instructions on uploading images, see Wikipedia:Preparing images for upload and Wikipedia:Uploading images.
- Improve currently existing images. This includes image touch-up as well as image re-creation (e.g. conversion to the SVG format).
- For a list of images needing cleanup, see Category:Images for cleanup.
- For a list of images needing miscellaneous attention, see Wikipedia:Pictures needing attention.
- For more information on image cleanup, see Wikipedia:Images for cleanup.

[edit] Participants
Please add yourself to this list with the following code:
* [[User:username|username]] — Things you can do
- Meg Bernstein - illustrations especially of living organisms by colored pencil or watercolor or digitally through Corel Painter. Request via email.
- boffy_b - Diagrams, illustrations, photographs, correction/repair/colouring of existing images. Ask on my talk page and I'll see what I can do.
- David Remahl - It is fun to make computer generated graphics, especially procedure generated illustrations. If something is too tedious to do by hand, I can do it in Mathematica or write a small program.
- Daniel C. Boyer - I'm open to requests for illustrations
- DrBob - Can do technical illustrations, open for requests on my talk page.
- Fastfission - happy to do work on vector based 2-D illustrations, I'm also especially happy with re-doing pixellated, MS Word-Draw style illustrations in Illustrator.
- Fir0002 Skilled in Photoshop. Cloning, warping, brightening, sharpening, you name it I can do it
- helix84 — if you have a (copyrighted) rastered illustration, I'll make a free .svg from it in Inkscape.
- Kiera - I'm a painter and sketch artist. I'm familiar with the mathmatics and theory underlying image/signal processing and various computer graphics/vision algorithms. I'd be happy to illustrate just about anything that would benefit from a pencil drawing; I'm willing and able to make Visio and Illustrator diagrams, and welcome mathmatical diagrams from the fields of lin. algebra, computational geometry, and calculus.
- Jeff Medkeff - I can take photos, esp. of landmarks and other Alaskan things between Fairbanks and Homer. Request via e-mail (preferred), or my talk page.
- Maclyn611 - open to requests for charts (such as Eskimo kinship chart) and related items.
- Mark Dingemanse — maps, diagrams, 2d vector illustration (see gallery for examples).
- MithrandirMage — I specialize in hand-made, 2D vector illustrations.

- Reverie - I am a painter as well as a vector artist. I'm familiar with mathematics up to the electrical engineering level and can grasp abstract concepts well. I'm more than happy to do additional research related with illustrating your topic of interest. Requests welcome on my talk page.
- Smack - I can do computer drawings; see my user page for a list of pictures I've made; please put requests on User talk
- Stevertigo - I'm open to requests on my talk page for line-drawing portrait illustrations, and various others.
- Stib - I'm happy to take requests for 3D or 2D illustrations, I am particularly interested if you need any animations made.
- Wapcaplet - Taking requests for diagrams or illustrations, especially of the 3D or vector variety. See my user page for examples.
- Wgsimon - Graphs, charts, diagrams, technical drawings on request.
- Xanthine - Scientific illustrator/infographic designer. My particular specialties include physics, chemistry, astronomy and microbiology, though I have a sound knowledge of most of the major sciences and am quite happy to do some background reading on any subject. Feel free to make any scientific or technical illustration or diagram requests.
- Xerxes2K - Specialized in diagrams, charts and graphs. I'b be happy to fulfil your requests on my talk page.
- Agateller - 2D illustrations of abstract concepts mostly, vector or bitmap
- Prolific - Maps, Graphs, Technical Diagrams, Anatomical Drawings, Sketches, Cicuit Diagrams, Molecular Diagrams
