This page is for discussion on what the Portal:Rugby Union Collaboration of the Fortnight should be. Anyone is free to contribute, but please don't nominate or support an option unless you are willing to help it improve if it is elected as the fortnight's collaboration. [edit] Purpose of the collaboration

Personally, I think the purpose of the collaboration should be to work up a rugby union-related article to featured article status. The articles should either be in a key rugby area (eg pages on the domestic competitions) or alternatively close enough to featured article status already such that a collaboration is likely to bring it up to FA quality, --Hamedog^Talk|@ 02:04, 25 February 2006 (UTC)

Main article: France national rugby union team

The France national rugby union team is a national sporting side, representing France in rugby union. Rugby union is a popular sport in France, and the national team are one of the best in the world. France compete annually with England, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and Wales in the Six Nations Championship. They have won the competition outright on 14 occasions, shared in another eight wins and completed eight grand slams. They are the second top ranked team in the world (behind only the All Blacks).^[1] France have competed at every Rugby World Cup and been runners-up twice. Six former French players have been inducted into the International Rugby Hall of Fame.

1. ND1 isn't a major league (it's one below the Guinness Premiership, but the last major update was for the 2005-2006 season. I've put the framework in place as best I can, but I'm hoping that others will help to flesh it out Murkee 10:46, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
