This week's football improvement drive is part of the WikiProject on Football and is a weekly collaboration to improve football (soccer) articles to featured article status. Past collaborations are found on the history page, while removed nominations may be found on the removed nominations page. Previous winners that have gone on to become featured articles can be found at Featured collaborations.
Nomination and voting
Articles to be improved can be nominated by registered users in the "nominations" section below, with an explanation of what work is needed. To nominate an article, you can copy the template that you will below. Please do not nominate articles involved in edit wars. Each Sunday, the article with the most support votes is chosen. Opposing votes are not counted, the nomination is an approval voting. In case of a tie, the candidate that was nominated first wins. Articles need three votes per week to stay on the list. You can vote for as many articles as you like. As with any other vote on Wikipedia, sockpuppets are banned.
Renominating
An article that is removed from the nominations list for failing to receive the required number of votes by the stipulated date cannot be renominated till one month after the date it is moved to the current removed nominations page.
FIFA World Cup, Football (soccer) and FA Premier League are currently Featured Articles. |

Considerations for nominators and voters
- Giving reasons as to why an article should become the Football AID may convince others to cast their vote.
- Can the wider football community easily contribute to the article? Or is it something only a small number of people will know about?
- Is the article one which you are prepared to work on?

[edit] Nominations
- The next project article is to be selected on Sunday April 8.
Please add new nominations at the bottom of this section.
[edit] Michael Bradley
Michael is one of the up-and-coming stars in America, and his article could certainly use improvement. I don't really expect this to get voted for, but the article would definitely be better with just a little more organization, and I'm not exactly sure how that should be approached.

[edit] Liverpool F.C.
Does this need much more explanation than to say that LFC are the most successful English club ever. A line in the intro says it all: Liverpool have won eighteen First Division titles, seven FA Cups, seven League Cups, five European Cups and three UEFA Cups.. I'm not a fan of the club but I am a fan of promoting articles to FA which truly deserve it - I'm sure this isn't far off.
