In the fall of 1995, Madonna released "You'll See" ("Verás" in Spanish-speaking countries), the lead single for Something to Remember, a collection of her most notable ballads. The initial lead-off single, "I Want You", had been dropped in its favor.

"You'll See" can be seen as a follow-up to "Take a Bow", since the same matador was used in the video. The single did fairly well on the charts, reaching #1 in Japan, #2 in Finland, #5 in Italy and #6 in the US. Notably, in the UK it reached #5 while outselling all previous singles since "Justify My Love" in 1990 and was in the year-end top 40. It was also certified Gold in the US and Japan. A Spanish version, called "Verás" appeared on the maxi-singles and on the Latin American editions of Something to Remember. Junior Vasquez produced an uncomissioned and unofficial remix of the track.
In 2001, Madonna surprised her fans when she substituted "You'll See" for "Gone" at select US shows of her Drowned World Tour.
British soprano Keedie covered the song on her album I Believe My Heart.
