.hu (hungary) is the Internet country code top-level domain (ccTLD) for Hungary. Registrations are processed via accredited registrars.
[edit] Subdomain allocation policy
Similarly to some other domains (e.g., Canada, .ca), the subdomain allocation policy of Hungary (.hu) allows anyone to register indirect subdomains of .hu (if you are not a EU citizen then you need to have a valid trademark in Hungary); UK-style allocation is also possible (.gov.hu, .edu.hu, and .ac.hu..., similar to .co.uk and .com.au).
Domain names with special latin characters (á, é, í, ó, ö, ő, ú, ü, ű) may also be registered.
