Ernest Hemingway

Ernest Miller Hemingway (21. juli 1899–2. juli 1961), fødd i Oak Park i Illinois, død i Ketchum i Idaho, var ein av dei mest framståande amerikanske forfattarane på 1900-talet og vann Nobelprisen i litteratur i 1954.
Hemingway er kjend for den korthogne stilen sin, der han kan uttrykka sterke kjensler med få ord. Han levde eit hardt liv prega av alkoholbruk og eventyr, noko han òg skildra i bøkene sine. Forfattaren skaut seg sjølv i 1961.
