John Nunn

John Denis Martin Nunn (født 25. april 1955 i London) er en engelsk sjakkspiller og matematiker.
Nunn er en av Englands sterkeste spillere, og var tidligere rangert blant verdens ti fremste spillere. Han fikk stormestertittelen i 1978, det samme året han ble tildelt sin doktorgrad i matematikk ved University of Oxford for en avhandling om finitte H-rom.
I tillegg til å være en sterk spiller, regnes Nunn som en fremragende forfatter av sjakkbøker. Han har skrevet flere bind, blant annet Secrets of Grandmaster Chess og John Nunn's Best Games. Han er direktør for sjakkforlaget Gambit Publications.
Nunn har også gjort seg gjeldende innen problemsjakk, han har blant annet komponert flere oppgaver, og har deltatt på det engelske landslaget i problemløsning. I september 2004 vant han VM i løsing av sjakkproblemer i Halkidiki, Hellas.
