The Lady Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon (Elizabeth Angela Marguerite) (August 4, 1900 – March 30, 2002), later Queen Elizabeth ("Elizabeth"), was the Queen Consort of King George VI of the United Kingdom from 1936 until his death in 1952. After her husband's death, she was known as Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother.
Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom is her daughter.
