Champs-sur-Marne is a french commune in the Seine-et-Marne département, in the eastern suburbs of Paris, (Île-de-France région). It is located 18.2 km. (11.3 miles) from the center of Paris.
The commune of Champs-sur-Marne is part of the sector of Val Maubuée, one of the four sectors of the "new town" of Marne-la-Vallée.

Originally called simply Champs, the name of the commune became officially Champs-sur-Marne (meaning "Champs upon Marne") on April 9, 1962.

The inhabitants are called the Campésiens.
As of the estimation of 2006, there where 25,407 people residing in the city.
