Dallas Green is one of the guitarists and vocalists in the Canadian post-hardcore band Alexisonfire. He is highly praised by critics for his piercing vocals and melodic voice, present in nearly all of Alexisonfire's songs. One of his most striking features, besides his voice, is the number of tattoos that adorn his body. He has full arm sleeves as well as tattoos on his torso and back. In addition to his work with Alexisonfire, Green also has a solo project named City and Colour, which revolves around songs of an acoustic variety.

[edit] Trivia
- The song Missing was written about a former religion teacher of Green's, named Ralph Serravalle, who died of cancer. One track CDs of this song were sold at his early shows and all proceeds went to the Denis Morris High School Starvathon that Serravalle had started, and continuously supported. Serravalle played a large part in teaching Dallas to believe in himself as a musician.[citation needed]
- Green has one sister named Jordin.
- Before joining Alexisonfire, Green was in a band called Helicon Blue which produced many songs before breaking up. The three piece band featured Dallas Green on guitar and vocal, Marce Lanteinge on bass and vocal, and Nicholas Osczypko on drums. Early on, the band recorded a self-titled release consisting of five songs; Great Escape, Machinery Faintly Purred, Ballad in Blue, Things you find & And the words came Easily. Later the band met with Greg Below from Distort, who recorded a second record which included; My Last Breath, Sunder, Greater Victory & Perpetual Healing.
- As well as singing and playing guitar, Green is a keen skateboarder and has been skating since he was a teenager.
- According to Green's MySpace profile, Green broke his nose when he was younger while skateboarding.
- Green has many pairs of Hi-Top Nike Classic shoes in various colours.
- Green is an avid basketball fan.
- Green worked at a Famous Players movie theatre that is now Empire Theatres, located at the Pen Centre for a number of years, he also worked at the Famous Players Lincoln Mall Cinemas, which is now gone. He worked at West 49, also located in the Pen Centre, for some time as well.
- Green does guest vocals on the song "Tony Danza Is The Boss" by Straight Reads The Line, a hardcore band from Stoney Creek, Ontario
- Green's song "Sam Malone" is sampled in DL Incognito's song "Fight This".
- The song "In the Water, I am beautiful" is from the preface of "Welcome to the Monkey House" by Kurt Vonnegut.
- Dallas can be seen sporting a Finish Strong shirt on the cover of this month's Chart Magazine, Artist of the Year edition, or on his 2006 MMVA performance. Finish Strong is described as a brotherhood, a family of people dedicated to spreading a 'positive message out to those that choose to listen.' While Dallas is a member and proponent of the organization and what the message encompasses, he did not found it with Matthew Scapillati, despite the many rumors.
