Diane Denish

Diane Denish is the Lieutenant Governor of the U.S. state of New Mexico, serving under Governor Bill Richardson. Diane is the first woman to be elected Lt. Governor in New Mexico's history. Diane was born in Hobbs, New Mexico. Diane has served as State Democratic Party Chair and on the New Mexico Commission on the Status of Women.
Married to Herb Denish, Diane has three grown children and one granddaughter.
She won reelection in 2006. She announced on January 10, 2007 that she will run for Governor after her term ends in 2010. If she wins, she would be the first female governor of the state.[1]
