Patty Jean Judge is the current Lieutenant Governor and former Secretary of Agriculture in the U.S State of Iowa. She was elected to the office in 2006, after unsuccessfully seeking the Democratic Party nomination for the 2006 Iowa gubernatorial election.
Before serving as Agriculture Secretary, she was elected to the Iowa Senate in 1992, and re-elected in 1996. She gave a walk through speech at the 2000 Democratic Convention in Los Angeles and at the 2004 Democratic National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts.
On February 15, 2006, Patty Judge stepped down as a candidate for Governor of Iowa and announced her endorsement of Iowa Secretary of State Chet Culver, and became his running mate for Lt. Governor. On November 7, 2006, she was elected as Lieutenant Governor of Iowa
