Brimley Road

Brimley Road is a north-south street in Scarborough, a community within Toronto, Ontario.
Beginning at Scarborough Bluffs by Lake Ontario, Brimley weaves through Scarborough to Steeles Avenue. The Scarborough portion is mainly residential with small strip plazas along the way. At the intersection of Brimley and Sheppard there is a Chinese retail zone. On Brimley north of Finch is Brimley forest, a small patch of what the area once looked like. The section south of Sheppard was once cut off at Highway 401, but it was connected by a partial overpass in the 1990s over the objections of many area residents on concerns over increased traffic volume.

A museum off Brimley north of Lawrence Avenue East in Thomson Park pays tribute to the founding family of the former Township of Scarborough; Highland Creek runs through the park.
The street continues in Markham, Ontario/York Region as a two lane residential street before ending at York Regional Road 71 (14th Avenue).

- The 21 Brimley TTC bus runs from Steeles to Eglinton and to Kennedy Station via Scarborough Centre (TTC) (128 Brimley North from Scarborough Centre to Steeles, started when the RT opened, and previously used McCowan and Sheppard, was merged with the 21 in the late 1990s).
- The 131E Milner Express runs along Brimley between Scarborough Centre and Eglinton during peak hours, stopping only at Lawrence.
- The 12B Kingston Roadserves Brimley from Kingston Road to Eglinton at peak hours.
- South of Kingston Road, Brimley Road South has served as the off-street loop for a number of routes since the 1950s, but the 12 Kingston Road since 1968.
Before the 1980s, Brimley Road was cut off at Highway 401, but a partial cloverleaf/overpass was added, and the two sections were re-connected.
