He Is Your Brother | "Ring Ring (Bara Du Slog En Signal)" (1973) |
"He Is Your Brother" was only released as a single in Scandinavian countries. It was taken from ABBA's first album Ring Ring which was released in 1973 but only in Scandinavia and a number of European countries, excluding Great Britain.
The song was one of the early favourites among the group's members, and it was the only song from the era before "Waterloo" which was performed during the group's tour in 1977. It was also performed by various artists, among them ABBA, during the Music for UNICEF Concert in January 1979.
[edit] The song
The song was written by the two male band members, Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus. It was produced by Michael Tretow.
All four members share lead-vocals on this recording.
[edit] Chart performance
Due to its limited release, and the fact that ABBA had not achieved a great following outside of their native Sweden, the song only charted in Scandinavia.
