The Hyundai Genesis is a new rear-wheel drive full-size car that will debut as a concept car for the 2007 New York International Auto Show[1]. It will slot above the Azera in the lineup. The Genesis will also be Hyundai's first V8-powered vehicle. The Genesis is Hyundai's first rear wheel drive car since the 1987 Pony and Stellar.
The production version will go on sale in the second half of 2008. A version with a 3.8-liter V6 will be priced well below $30,000, a Hyundai spokesman said. He did not estimate the price for the 4.6-liter V8 version, which will produce more than 300 hp.
