Frontman

Frontman (o anche front man) è un termine che in gergo designa il cantante leader di una band musicale. Qualora il leader della band sia una donna viene anche usato per più accuratezza il termine frontwoman, sebbene la sua frequenza sia più rara.
Il frontman è il membro più conosciuto della band, ma questo non è necessariamente vero per ogni gruppo. Infatti spesso un membro del gruppo viene definito tale qualora canti la maggior parte delle canzoni di una band. Per esempio nei Beatles George Harrison non venne più considerato il front man da quando John Lennon e Paul McCartney si impadronirono della scena cantando la maggior parte delle canzoni del gruppo.
