La stagione NBA 1987-88 fu la 42° stagione della National Basketball Association. La stagione finì con la vittoria dei Los Angeles Lakers, che sconfissero i Detroit Pistons per 4 partite a 3 nelle finali NBA. I Lakers divennero così la prima squadra a confermarsi campione, dai tempi dei Boston Celtics, nella Stagione 1968-69.
