Johan Sverkersson (Old Norse: Jón jarl Sörkvisson) (c. 1201 – 1222) was a Swedish elected king in 1216, crowned in 1219, and remained king till his death in 1222. He was the son of Sverker Karlsson. Unmarried and childless.
John led an expedition to Estonia in 1220 that eventually ended in a defeat in the Battle of Lihula later the same year.
In Skáldatal, Snorri Sturlusson gives Einarr Skúlason and Halldórr skvaldri as two of John's court skalds.
