Steven Howse (aka Layzie Bone, L-Burna, # 1 Assassin and Lil' Lay) is an American rapper born on September 23, 1975 in Cleveland, Ohio. He is best known for being a member of the rap group Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Howse grew up on the streets of Cleveland, Ohio. He was caught selling drugs and was given the option of either being sent to jail or to Fort Worth, Texas with his uncle and aunt. He went to Fort Worth, TX and met "Wish Bone" (No relation with Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Member, Wish Bone) who taught him the "Bone theme." When he returned to Cleveland he told Krayzie Bone, Bizzy Bone, and Wish Bone about the concept. The four went on to form B.O.N.E. Enterprise which later became Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Howse is the brother of Flesh-N-Bone the cousin of Wish Bone and uncle of Justin patterson aka Baby Bone. He is currently married to Mo Thugs member Felecia Lindsey-Howse. One of his sons, Angel, died due to lung problems. Layzie Bone makes reference to Angel on some songs, like "Family Tree" from Bone Thugs album The Art of War. He has four children.
[edit] Trivia
- Layzie Bone was originally Bizzy Bone. Former member Bryon "Bizzy" McCane got the name for always being "Bizzy" writing lyrics down (Layzie claims he came up with the name 'Bizzy' for him, on the DVD, "Bone 4 Life").
