Luis Oscar 'Lucho' González (born January 19, 1981 in Buenos Aires) is an Argentine football (soccer) player currently captain of portuguese team Porto.

Called Lucho by fans, González played since age 14 in the Huracán team prior to his transfer to the River Plate team in 2002. Once in River Plate, he was an important piece in the 2004 Clausura championship title. He played with the Argentine team that won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics. He has ten tattoos on his body, including Maradona's signature.

Lucho has had a great first season at Porto, leading them to their first Superliga title since the departure of José Mourinho. Even from midfield, Lucho is one of the top scorers of the team, seen as the main reason behind the success of Porto. Lucho's fine form has captured the attention of many European giants, Chelsea and Inter Milan but denied the moves and Stayed in Porto. He played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup, and left very disappointed when losing against hosts Germany in the quarter-finals, when expectations for Argentina were much higher. He had managed 5 goals in 30 caps, as of July 2006.Lucho is well known in the field for is calm control, great technique and scoring capacity.He scored one of the best goals of 2006/2007 Champions League against Hamburg SV in a long first touch shot.
