Hey, since your on, Thanks! Its awsome and I put the current signature of the person i respect or is my friend. Nathan is pictured on his user page.--Slipknot222 21:46, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

On his user page, there is a little dude with a gun. That is a cartoon. Then it says this is me and there he is.--Slipknot222 23:09, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I wish I could follow this conversation especially since my name was mentioned :P However, you get bonus points if you can tell me what the little guy's wearing. Slipknot222: Your page looks horrible in Firefox (some elements are scrolling off the page). I'm going to play around with it and see what improvements I can make. I will post my final version and you're free to revert if you don't like the changes I've made.

If you want to know how to do the infobox on my page, the template is here. If you add anything to it, the lines you add mightn't work. — nathanrdotcom 04:09, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

  • I posted a followup re Slipknot222's userpage on his talk page. — nathanrdotcom 04:52, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

RfA thanks!

Image:WikiThanks.png Hi David! Thank you for supporting my RfA. It passed at 105/1/0, putting me in WP:100 - I'm delighted and surprised! I'm always happy to help out, so if you need anything, please drop me a line. Cheers! Redvers 20:05, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

Odds Bodkin

You tagged this for speedy; it did assert notability. As it turns out the claim was well-founded. Where there is a claim of notability {prod} is safer, it will get more sets of eyes that way. Thanks, JzG 23:31, 22 March 2006 (UTC)

My RFA

Thank you!

Thank you for supporting / opposing / vandalising my RFA! The result was 71/3/0 and so I am now still a normal user / an administrator / indefinitely banned. Your constructive criticism / support / foulmouthed abuse has given me something to think about / helped me immensely / turned me into a nervous wreck. If there's any way I can help you in return, please ask someone else / suffer and die / drop me a line! --Sam Blanning 19:47, 23 March 2006 (UTC)

Hello

I convey my greetings to you on my completion of one year as a wikipedian. Come here, we shall have a party tonight. The biggest laddus have been ordered. --Bhadani 15:14, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Beat ya

Sorry for beating ya. :-) Moe 22:32, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Yes, you most certainly did ;). I was thinking maybe we—you and I, or a bunch of people—could create a WP:BITE-conforming talk message to leave for new users who nominate themselves that wouldn't be overly harsh, but get the point across. I've spoken to three users recently about waiting a little while before trying to run for Adminship. If you want to start a draft, or if you want me to, just let me know, and we'll work from there. Thanks and see ya around. -Mysekurity 22:42, 24 March 2006 (UTC) (my message was longer, though ;-P)

P.S. Why is your talk page semi'd? It's been almost two weeks... do you want to try without it?

Sure, I would be happy to work with you (and others if needed) to send new users about adminship requirements. When do you want to get started?
Yes, your message was longer and more informative than mine :-( *egotistically* I could do better than if I wanted. :-D Yeah, so much vandalism to both my user page and talk page landed it with the semi-protection. After two weeks, I'm ready to take on the onslaught of comments now. :-) Moe 22:50, 24 March 2006 (UTC)
Responding to one thing at a time; I'm heading out in a little while, so maybe we could work on something tomorrow, or if you want to get it started tonight, go for it. Check out my response at Code Napoleon's page, and I'll send you an e-mail that I think worked pretty well. I think the key is to be polite and humerous, but still convey the point. In any event, I'll work on it tomorrow, and send something off to ya. As for the semi-protection, as a sysop, just say the word and I'll turn it off or something. I have my page move-protected so that nobody can put me "ON WHEELS!" or the like. If you continue to recieve vandalism, drop me a line and I'll re-protect it. Happy editing, Mysekurity 23:08, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

RfA

Sorry about that...I had the page open for about 10 minutes while I was reading and looking at edits etc and I guess you closed it in the meanwhile. It certainly wasn't intentional. Sarah Ewart 23:10, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Heh, the same thing happened to me =). Didn't notice since closure wasn't mentioned on the specific RfA page. TheKMan 04:24, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Makemi RfA

Thank you for voting on my RfA. It passed with a consensus to promote of 45/7/1. To those of you concerned about the fact that I am a relative newcomer, I encourage you to poke me with a sharp stick if I make a mistake. Or better yet, let me know on my talk page, and I'll do my best to fix it. Makemi 05:19, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

My RfA

Thank you so much for supporting me in my recent RfA, which passed with a final tally of 56/1/0. I thank you for your confidence in my abilities. If you ever need anything or find that I have made an error, please let me know on my talk page. Scm83x 21:06, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Re: Fair use image

Are we not allowed to have fair use images on our user pages? If not, what types of images are we allowed to have? I don't like the plain PW there, so I'd like to find an image I can put on there. tv316 22:39, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

ok

Emm, Ok.. Maybe I should back off and cool down. - warning appreciated. --Irishpunktom 00:00, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Your page looks all weird on my browser, BTW - IE on XP.
Please note the highly POV revert nature of this edit which Irishpunktom has just made. Dbiv 00:03, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
Any admin enforcing the 3RR should not act as a mere automaton, checking whether the reverts really are reverts. They should look at the quality of the edits, whether they are original research, POV or otherwise not helpful. Dbiv 00:08, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

If you have time, check this out. You may find it interesting. -Mysekurity 00:06, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Well... y'gotta accept it! I didn't really see a mention of anyone offering you that before (and I've never nominated anyone before), so best of luck to you. As soon as you accept, I'll add it to the RfA page. I see now there's something about you getting nominated in April, but isn't this close enough? You've passed the 6 months/1000 edits (by far), so you'll be fine. Good luck, and I'll talk with you soon. -Mysekurity 00:14, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism?

"Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. Moe ε 23:33, 25 March 2006 (UTC)" <-- what you said on my talk page.
I'm not seeing what made my comment vandalism. It was not a test, I commented on the discussion page under the heading "First to appoint an openly gay man" saying that I thought "Bush is the first Republican President to appoint an openly gay man to his administration." needed some indication of who this openly gay man is. It may be common knowledge or not, but I personally have never heard of who it is.
Thanks,

k, this was resolved satisfactorily, thanks for the time :] Opblaaskrokodil 00:29, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi There

Hi Moe,

Haven't talked in a while, just thought I would drop by, say HI, and see how you were. I hope that things are going better for you now. If you ever need a shoulder, I will be around. Prsgoddess187 01:20, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi

Hi Moe Epsilon, and thank you for taking time to vote on my RfA. I understand that my last 6000+ edits were not sufficient to convince you that edits like some of my early ones would never be repeated again, but I sincerely hope that at some point I would be able to convince you of my transformation. Looking forward to working with you in future. Regards, deeptrivia 03:16, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Esperanza Newsletter, Issue #1

Reach out is a program aimed at allowing users to bring issues that they have had in Wikipedia to a listening, sympathetic and caring audience:
"No one can know how we feel if we do not say. We cannot expect to get understanding if we do not ask for it. No one will dispute that sometimes life's issues are too much for one person. It is fair to say that sometimes Wikipedia's problems fall under the same heading. This is a place where you can bring the bruises that can sometimes be got on this project for attention."
The Stress alerts program aims at identifying users who are stressed, alerting the community of thier stress and works in tandem with the Stressbusters at trying to identify causes of stress and eliminating them.
Note from the editor
Welcome to this new format of the Esperanza Newsletter, which came about during the last Advisory Council meeting - we hope you like it! The major changes are that each month, right after the Council meeting, this will be sent out and will include two featured programs and a sum up of the meeting. Also, it will be signed by all of the Advisory Council members, not just Celestianpower. Have an Esperanzial end of March, everyone!
  1. Future meetings are to be held monthly, not fortnightly as before.
  2. Bans and Access level changes (apart from autovoice) in the IRC channel are to be reported at the new log.
  3. In the IRC channel, there is going to be only one bot at a time.
  4. The charter requires members to have 150 edits and 2 weeks editing. Why this is the case will be clarified.
  5. A new |Code of Conduct will be drafted by JoanneB and proposed to the Esperanza community.
  6. The NPA reform idea is to be dropped officially.
  7. Charter ammendments are to be discussed in future, not voted on.
  8. The Advisory Council is not going to be proposed to be expanded by the Advisory Council themselves, if others want to propose it, they will listen.
Signed...

Left

Will you please stop it! You don't have to be an admin to be a good Wikipedian - I certainly will never be an admin, does that make me inherently bad. No one is perfect. If you are going this time, we (at least I) will be missing you :-( --Latinus 19:59, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

See you later Moe Hope you comeback

BionicWilliam 20:52, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Not again.

The title speaks for itself. At the moment, I'll only Sprotect the article, unless a registered user vandalizes it. Something has to be done about these RFAs. You don't deserve this. -- Lbmixpro 21:34, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

I agree. Please, don't let the comments of a few les miserablés discourage you. Its your choice, but we hope you reconsider. Whatever your choice is, may your future ventures bring you prosperity and happiness. Regards, Master of Puppets 23:21, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
I can agree; the way I deal with people when I'm particularly upset is throw all AGF out the window; that doesn't make me a bad Wikipedian. I hope you come back soon. nathanrdotcom 02:15, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
I'd vote for you on the next one, if you come back and decide to run again. I've seen that you've done some pretty good work all over the place. Just tell me if you do return and go for another RFA, so I can proudly support you. Jfingers88 03:25, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry I missed your RfA. I would have strongly supported you if I had the chance. I have been following your contributions very closely since the user-name change, and I've seen absolutely nothing but helpful contributions. In fact, I was seriously thinking about nominating you for adminship myself. I'm not going to beg you to come back. I would probably be discouraged enough to consider leaving the project if I were in your place, so I can't blame you for being upset. I can only hope that your addiction kicks in and makes you start editing again. I'm very sorry that your RfA didn't turn out quite right, for your sake and for Wikipeida's. --TantalumTelluride 06:12, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

THIS IS BULL STUFF! I got away and yall treat someone this way! He is right. Don't take this Moe. I'd call you David but, it would be awakard. Fight for your right to do what is right. If I was here, I woulda voted for you EXTREMELY STRONGLY SUPPORT! Good luck and hope you come back soon. I am extremely unpleased.--Slipknot222 22:03, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

User page

Hey, I'm sorry to hear that this is stressing you out as bad as this. I hope though that you do have a helpful Wikibreak. I'm hoping that when you get back you'll consider removing some of the negative commentary from your User page. I know you have strong feelings about what's happened, but it would probably be more helpful and productive not to make strongly negative comments about other users on your User page. Thanks. Evilphoenix 03:52, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

My RfA

My RfA recently closed and it was a success, passing at 84-02-00. I would like to thank you for taking the time to weigh in and on your subsequent support, despite not quite meeting your admin standards yet. And I know it's quite cliche, but if you ever need any assistance and/or want another opinion on something, grab a Pepsi and don't hesitate to drop me a line on my talk page. Thanks again. RfA thanks

Moe Epsilon, thank you you for voting on my RfA, which passed successfully 49/6/3. I am grateful for your comments, and have taken people's suggestions to heart. I will do my best to live up to people's expectations. If I can ever make any improvements or help out in any way, please feel free to let me know! Although you voted oppose I appreciate your remarks.

My RfA
Thank you for supporting/opposing/commenting on my request of adminship, sadly the result was 54/20/7 an thus only 73% support votes, resulting in that the nomination failed. As many of you commenting that I have to few main-space edits, I'll try to better my self on that part. If you have any ideas on what kind of articles I could edit, pleas send me a line. :) AzaToth 09:41, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Welcome back!

Welcome back, and I'm so glad you decided to come back. We would be deeply sad if you left us, for that would just be a waste of a talented editor like you. I'll step back a bit and give you some time to reestablish your "happy bubble", but if you ever need me, I'm just a step away. ^_^! Master of Puppets 03:54, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Thanks!

Hi Moe Epsilon, thank you for supporting me in my RfA which passed with a tally of (93/1/2). If you need any help or wish discuss something with me, you are always welcome to talk to me. DaGizza 11:45, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Bad RfA, I can see...

I see that you're getting that popularity back (66%, another 10% and you're on the right side of consensus). I'd like to comment that under stress I've also attacked a user, so you're not the only one -- Sceptre 17:16, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Checking in

Hey Moe,... I feel so stupid for not looking harder, and for causing any stress as a result of my carelessness. I hope everything's ok, and I wanted to let you know that I'll be more than happy to offer my full support (and blocks against McFly) next time you run. Stick around, contribute, and they'll have no choice but to accept you. In the mean time, you're still a great editor, and no one can take that away. -Mysekurity 20:51, 29 March 2006 (UTC)

Reason it's Fuji Cakes and not Fugee Cakes

From the person that has been providing OVW house show results on the internet, from the OVW community on LiveJournal:

"Per a discussion with a wrestler I had yesterday and further evidenced by an internet search I just ran, I need to issue an apology.

For any wrestler's names I have butchered in reports I apologize. I have found that many of my reports have been used to flesh out rosters people are keeping online from just personal sites to even wikipedia. At most live events I only have what I can make out over the PA to use as a wrestler's name. Sometimes it's a simple matter of mis-interpretation on a spelling (see: Fuji-Cakes misspelled as Fugee Cakes). Other times it is a combination of my degraded hearing combined with heavily garbled announcers (see: Aaron LaMotta mis-translated to Aaron LaMonta).

Even though I only do this for fun I still like to take a little more pride in my write ups than to throw incorrect information out there. Please feel free to call me on any screw ups you may catch."

Thanks for removing my RfA, not sure why you re-added it though :) I didn't realise I was supposed to write an introductory statement - I would have liked to, but there didn't seem to be a place in the standard formula for that.
