A oes erthyglau llafar ar gael ar y Wicipedia Cymraeg? Un o fy addunedau blwyddyn newydd ar gyfer 2008 yw cyfrannu ychydig bach mwy at Wicipedia [!], a byddai gen i ddiddordeb cyfrannu drwy ddarllen dros hen erthyglau a chyfieithu ychydig o erthyglau o'r Saesneg, wrth gwrs, ond hefyd drwy droi ambell erthygl sy'n bodoli yn ffeil sain (fel [1]). Dw i'n sylweddoli mai nifer cymharol fychan o erthyglau sydd ar Wicipedia a bod angen cynyddu'r nifer, ond dw i'n meddwl y byddai'n dda i rai pobl allu clywed rhai o'r erthyglau yn ogystal â'u darllen. A oes ffordd o wneud hyn ar y Wicipedia Cymraeg h.y. a yw'r patrymluniau nodiadau ac ati wedi eu cyfieithu? Os na, dw i'n fodlon gwneud hynny, jyst ddim yn siwr beth sydd angen ei wneud e.e. allforio nhw o'r wikipedia Saesneg? Beth yw barn y gweinyddwyr am hyn? Dwi newydd fod ar en. yn ceisio datrys yr ochr dechnegol, ond mae'n edrych yn gymhleth iawn. Edrychwch ar "en:Template:Spoken_Wikipedia/doc" er enghraifft! [golygu] Pigion

To start the new year off, I've put Diwydiant llechi Cymru as the front page article in pigeon, as this seems to be the only featured article at present. How do people feel this should continue? I have two options:

• Leave this as the front page article, until another article is raised to this standard, or
• Carry on putting other articles, of variable quality, in pigion, as I have been doing.

I'm quite happy to continue, but would like to get other peoples views first.

By the way, I've just archived this page up to the end of 2007 as it seemed to be getting very unwieldy. – Tivedshambo (talk) 22:14, 5 Ionawr 2008 (UTC)

I'd suggest continuing to rotate the articles for the time being - it's working very well and adds interest to the front page. Rhion 22:03, 6 Ionawr 2008 (UTC)

On a similar subject, as most of the subjects won't be featured articles, I feel the Wikimedal logo may be inappropriate for display on the main page. I've been looking at various logos, and would like to suggest Delwedd:P writing.svg as an alternative, at a size of 56px (see right). I'm trialling it in the Nodyn:pigion template at present (that part isn't transcluded to the main page), but if you feel this is a suitable change, it'll need an administrator to carry out the amendments, as the logo is hard-coded into the protected source of Hafan. – Tivedshambo (talk) 16:55, 10 Ionawr 2008 (UTC)

Agree not wise to imply that the ~Wicipedia community has agreed that an article in pigion has reached a particular quality, when this is not the case. We run the risk of ridicule. As to a replacement logo, I am not convinced one is needed. However, if created, we would have to link it to a help page explaining the basis of selecting pigion to readers. Could an administrator change Delwedd:Crystal 128 wp.png for the identical Delwedd:Crystal Clear app wp.png in Hafan please. The former has been tagged on Commons as a duplicate, and a bot has been through all projects changing them, but obviously couldn't do Hafan as it's protected. See this page.
