Peter Michael Stone (born September 6, 1989) is a fictional high schooler on the Degrassi: The Next Generation television series. He is portrayed by Jamie Johnston.

[edit] Biography of Peter Stone
He was a new student who transferred into Degrassi during grade 11. He is also the son of Ms. Hatzilakos, the school principal. Unlike most of the other characters, no episode has focused on his family and past life, but parts of his history can be pieced together from conversations.
Apparently, his parents divorced when his father had an affair with his secretary. He spent most of his schooling in private school, but, for unknown reasons, he started attending Degrassi in the 11th grade.
In the episode Tell it to My Heart it is revealed that Peter's father does not particularly care for his son (as evidenced by the fact that his "bedroom" is more of a storage room). This may be a contributing factor to his "spoiled kid" personality. But it seemed his father did care for him after all, in the episode True Colors when he had those hit and run charges taken off his record, but still had to face house arrest.

Peter Stone was a transferred student, when he came to Degrassi in his junior year, in the beginning he had a huge crush on Manny Santos but the crush was taken too far, when he took advantage of a drunken Manny, and filmed her topless. There Peter faced terrible reactions from Manny, when he released the film throughout Degrassi. Peter also had a secret relationship with Manny's bestfriend, Emma, but decided to bring it out, making their relationship official. While together, Peter and Manny had to help Emma as she was going through the worst of her drama.

Peter Stone was first introduced in Season 5, when he entered Degrassi as a new student. He was first spotted by Emma Nelson, who developed a big crush on him. Peter had no interest in Emma, but rather her friend Manny Santos. Peter continuously tries to flirt with Manny, but she turns him down each time. After having a fight with her family (more notably, her father), Manny decides to go to a party that Peter invited her to. Later that night, after being completely wasted, Peter took Manny into a room where he videotaped her taking her shirt off, saying he can sell it once she becomes a famous actor. Peter then threatens to e-mail the video to the entire school if Manny won’t go out with him. After she calls him a freak, Peter then demands money for a new camcorder. Since Manny couldn’t get the money, Peter sends the video to all the students through his wireless-enabled PDA, causing Emma to briefly hate him.

Through the season 5, Peter begins flirting with Emma,smooth talking her. At first Emma shuts him out, despite that she wants him, because of what he did to Manny. She plans revenge for what he did to Manny,so she tries to seduce him,stripping him and taking photos with her camera phone.Eventually,her plan backfires since his bedroom is a storage,totally can relate to that since she sleeps in the basement. They eventually begin dating in secret.

During the end of the season, Emma and Peter become open about their relationship, which tears Emma between her best friend Manny, and Peter. By dating Emma, Peter discovers that she is suffering from anorexia nervosa. He confronts Manny who goes with him to Emma's parents to set up an intervention to help Emma. She is then put into rehab.

Peter began his senior year at Degrassi with a huge bang: he met his girlfriend Emma Nelson's ex-boyfriend Sean Cameron when he returned to Degrassi from Wasaga Beach. In the beginning he kind of liked him, but when he began noticing that Sean was trying to steal his girl he took action, by framing him for having drugs in his locker which led to Sean being kicked out of Degrassi. Emma soon learned of Peter's actions against Sean and decided to end their relationship. Peter also faced trouble with Sean when he was involved in a hit-and-run accident only leaving him with community service and house arrest. So far in his senior year, he began hanging with Manny and Darcy more often, which led to his secret sessions with Darcy for photo shoot. However he wanted Darcy as a girlfriend so he exposed those racy photos to her boyfriend, Spinner, which led to Spinner's breaking up with Darcy and Darcy hating Peter.
[edit] Sean Returning
In Season 6 Peter meets Sean, Emma's ex-boyfriend. When Sean is back in town Emma starts liking Sean again, without Peter knowing. Peter then starts hanging out with Sean. Because of her feelings for Sean, Emma decides to take a break with Peter. This angers Peter and pushes him to get Sean suspended by framing him for drug dealing. Peter and Sean go against each other in a street race, ending up almost killing a man. Sean is now in jail, while Emma is still working things out with Peter. Emma is now broken up with Peter after he reveals how he was able to get into Sean's locker and plant drugs, which look like pot.
[edit] Joining Spirit Squad
Later on Peter joins the Spirit squad after Darcy advertises they could use some guys on the team. Manny now is impressed by his skills and doesn't hate him as much. Peter also introduces Darcy to an online friend named Adams, who turns out to be an internet predator, who wants some "sexy" photos which she gives him for money, causing the break-up of her and Spinner.
[edit] Apologizing To Darcy
After what he did to Darcy, Peter tries apologizing to her. The two soon become friends, but when he once again lies Darcy begins disliking him. Soon Darcy realizes that Peter is trying his hardest to change and the two soon become friends again.
