Souderton is a borough in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The population was 6,730 at the 2000 census.
Annually each September, Souderton hosts the end of the Univest Grand Prix, formally one of the premier amateur bicycle races, now gone professional. Men and women compete and circle around the borough and the surrounding areas.

Souderton is located at GR1.
(40.310215, -75.321682)According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²). 2.9 km² (1.1 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 6,730 people, 2,635 households, and 1,765 families residing in the borough. The population density was 2,320.1/km² (6,015.7/mi²). There were 2,720 housing units at an average density of 937.7/km² (2,431.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough was 91.69% White, 1.00% African American, 0.19% Native American, 3.98% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.86% from other races, and 1.25% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.29% of the population.
There were 2,635 households out of which 32.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 55.1% were married couples living together, 8.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 33.0% were non-families. 26.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 10.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.54 and the average family size was 3.12.
In the borough the population was spread out with 25.1% under the age of 18, 9.0% from 18 to 24, 34.0% from 25 to 44, 19.3% from 45 to 64, and 12.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 35 years. For every 100 females there were 97.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 94.9 males.
The median income for a household in the borough was $47,437, and the median income for a family was $57,200. Males had a median income of $36,280 versus $28,580 for females. The per capita income for the borough was $21,758. About 3.2% of families and 4.4% of the population were below the poverty line, including 3.2% of those under age 18 and 7.1% of those age 65 or over.

Souderton has a city manager form of government with a mayor and a nine-member borough council. Souderton's current borough councilors are: John Young (President), Andrew Schlosser (Vice President), Ned Leight, Philip Clemens, Katherine Grubb, Ray Yothers, J. Edward Hunsicker, Brian Goshow, and Roy Zeiher [1]. The mayor, recently appointed by council to replace the retired Charles Allebach, is John Reynolds.
Reynolds will be challenged in the upcoming 2007 primary elections by resident Dirk A. Linthicum. Clemens and Zeiher will not be seeking another term. Yothers, and residents Jonathan Gardenier, H. Ray Benner, and D. Bradley Price, will be seeking two seats in Ward 2; Schlosser will run unopposed in Ward 1, while resident D. Jeffery Gross will run unopposed for the seat vacated by Zeiher [2].

Souderton is host to the Univest Grand Prix, a one-day road bicycle racing event that is part of the 2007 USA Cycling Professional Tour.

Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Jamie Moyer, born in Sellersville, Bucks County, grew up in Souderton, and attended and played baseball at Souderton Area High School.
