The Team DX vs. Team Rated-RKO match was the first 5 on 5 elimination match in which all 5 members of a team survived in Survivor Series history.
This was the first time the WWE version of the United States Championship was defended at Survivor Series (the WCW version was defended five years earlier at Survivor Series 2001 in a title unification match with the Intercontinental Championship.)
