Greece (also known as Hellas or Hellenic Republic) is a country in Europe. Greece's history is one of the richest in the world. Its capital city is Athens.
Turkey, Macedonia, Albania, and Bulgaria share borders with Greece.
Greece became a member of the European Union in 1981, and is considered the economic capital of the Balkans. They also were involved in both WWI and WWII
