Arkansas gubernatorial election, 2006
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The 2006 Arkansas gubernatorial election was won by Mike Beebe, Democrat. The election occurred on Tuesday, November 7, 2006. Mike Huckabee (R), one of Arkansas's longest serving Governors, was term limited and thus ineligible for re-election; he is rumored to be considering a run for President in 2008.
This was also the first time since 1978 (when Bill Clinton was elected to his first term) that no Arkansas incumbent governor was running for re-election.
