IMDb profile |
Game Head is a television show about video games hosted by games journalist Geoff Keighley. It airs every Friday night at 1 AM Spike TV in the U.S. and Canada. The show is now in its fourth season. According to SpikeTV it is the highest rated videogame show on television, and consistently has higher ratings than anything on G4 or MTV2. [1]
In the program, host Keighley is seen on location with a company or has a special guest (such as infamous film director Uwe Boll or professional gamer Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel), and does an interview that goes on throughout the show. During the program, game previews, reviews, and small trivia facts are interspersed during the program.
Past shows have included interviews with Boll, current Nintendo of America President and Chief Operating Officer Reggie Fils-Aime, and fashion designer Marc Ecko. Shows have also focused on the best of E³ 2006, featuring editors from internet gaming site GameSpot, the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences's D.I.C.E. Summit, including an interview with the head of Microsoft's Interactive Entertainment Business division Peter Moore, and the 8th Annual Independent Games Festival.
The show is known for divulging exclusive information on new games. In 2006 the show has unveiled the first footage of Medal of Honor: Airborne and an exclusive reveal of the Barbarian King boss fight in God of War II. It was also the first TV on the set of the movie Resident Evil: Extinction, and unveiled how the game character Albert Wesker will look in the movie.
A number of celebrities have also appeared as guests, including Clint Eastwood, Kiefer Sutherland, Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, and even Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.
