The Little Red-Haired Girl is kissed by Charlie Brown.

It's Your First Kiss, Charlie Brown is one of many prime-time animated TV specials based upon the popular comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. It was originally aired 8:00 PM, Monday evening, October 24, 1977 on the CBS-TV network.

Charlie Brown is one of the homecoming escorts, and is shocked when he finds out that he will be escorting the homecoming queen to the homecoming dance, mainly because she is the Little Red-Haired Girl, known in the animated shows as Heather. He is even more shocked when he finds out that before the first dance, he must give her a kiss.

The homecoming game is on, and Charlie Brown is playing. Unfortunately, even in a real football game with many spectators, Lucy pulls the football away from him three times. The others blame Charlie Brown and not Lucy despite the self-evident fact who is obviously at fault. Many viewers wrote in protest accepting that Lucy actions were to blame, not Charlie Brown. When the special was rebroadcast, the lines where Charlie Brown's teammates berate him were dubbed out, though it hardly made things better.

At the homecoming dance, Charlie Brown finally gets the courage to go up to Heather and kiss her. After that, everything is a blur, with Charlie Brown having eurphoic visions now that he has accomplished something he previously thought unattainable, in this case kissing the Little Red Haired Girl. He wakes up the next morning not remembering a thing, but Linus meets him at their usual place to hang out, the wall, and tells Charlie Brown he was both a good dancer and good kisser, and that everyone was watching him in amazement.

Many Peanuts fans dislike this special, partly because the Little-Red Haired Girl, who is neither seen nor named in the entire run of the comic strip, appears and is named; and partly because Charlie Brown's teammates' treat him unfairly. Michelle Muller provides the voice of both Lucy Van Pelt and the Little Red-Haired Girl. Other fans, however, have enjoyed this special as it gave proof to Charlie Brown's ideas of to not allow himself to get discouraged and that every dog does have his day.

Charlie Brown's team scored 6 points (touchdown and missed extra point) in the first half. The next time his team scores, the scoreboard reads 13 and the next time 20. Either Charlie Brown (or someone) kicked the extra point after each touchdown or they converted two safeties on a Conversion Attempts.
