[edit] RfA nomination
- I think you're a great candidate for adminship. I've had you on my to-nominate list since January, and I didn't nominate you earlier only because of concerns about your time with the project. I think you've gained more experience, and I would like to see you part of the admin team. I have a good eye for admin candidates, and I believe I have nominated seven or eight candidates successfully to adminship (all passed nearly unanimously; in fact one of my current noms, AzaToth, has surpassed WP:100). I will create the RfA page if you accept the nomination. Nishkid64 21:09, 18 March 2007 (UTC)
I would definitely support this too, Jreferee. Even in our difference in opinion discussed up your talk page a ways, you were civil the entire time, seemed well-versed in policy, and seem to be a great candidate. --Iamunknown 06:06, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Great, Jreferee! Thanks for the compliments, and please let me know once you are ready for the RfA. In the meanwhile, I will create the page and add my nomination. Nishkid64 22:34, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
-
- Aw, I was hoping to co-nom. I'm pretty stauchly against doing co-noms AFTER the RfA has been sent out, was going to say that but it's kinda late now. I might put one up but I think (personally) it's wrong to do it post-voting.--Wizardman 01:08, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wikiproject Actors and Filmakers
Hey see my proposals at Wikipedia:WikiProject Council/Proposals#Actor and Filmmakers and the main WP Film and Biography talk page. Know anybody who is interested? Actors and all film people articles need a body on wikipedia to upkeep them asthey need more focus -it would be a part of Biogrpahy and Film. If you are interested or know somebody who would be, please let them know and whether you think it is a good progession for the project or not. Please leave your views at the council or biogrpahy main talk page. THanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 14:48, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your userpage
I'm loving your userpage!!! (very original I must say... :P) Some of the top links to Nishkid64's your subpages don't work though, as they don't exist, you might want to fix that. Majorly (o rly?) 01:34, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- I started creating my userpage ten hours ago. I went through all my posts to see just what is it I've been up to for the past six months. I can't believe that I created so much content while having my fingers in so many pies. Anyway, the top links to my subpages should work. Would you mind looking through everything and leting me know whether something needs to be added or changed? Thanks. -- Jreferee 02:14, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RfA
Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Jreferee. We're all set. Add the answer to your questions, accept the nom, and transclude to the main RfA page. You can wait for Wizardman's co-nomination (if he still wants to do it), or you can just let him add it during the time the RfA is running. Best of luck, Nishkid64 20:34, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re:RFA
No, that couldn't be done. JCraw would have to personally vote on the RFA to lend support. Anyways, does it matter so much? It was a complete success. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 14:47, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Link-boy
I've added the photograph you asked for. Hope that helps. --MichaelMaggs 20:50, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
- WOW! I cannot believe that you found a link extinguishers to photograph. That really helps the article. Thank you. -- Jreferee 20:56, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
The Photo Matching service really works! --MichaelMaggs 21:12, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Thank you for your support on my Request for Administration
I'm happy to say that thanks in part to your support, my RfA passed with a unanimous score of 40/0/0. I solemnly swear to use these shiny new tools with honour and insanity integrity. --Wafulz 15:30, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] RE: I SPY
Sorry Jreferee - I posted these messages in your Archives section - I finally figured out I should probably have put them here .....
........
Hi Tatia. ST47 deleted the link. I asked ST47 to provide some detail of his/her actions on the I Spy talk page. Please provide your request on the I Spy talk page as well since that is where such a discussion would best take place. If you need further assistance, please contact me on my talk page -- Jreferee 07:09, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
........
Hello AGAIN Jreferee,
I hope this is the right place to respond (I am finding this difficult as to where to respond on which page) ... ST47 sent me a note about not using FORUMs because the information may not be accurate. He did NOT read why our Forum is not a just message board - and how we have for the past 8 years been the source for providing current and relevant information about this 60s TV show (and we have been linked on Wikipedia since 2005).
I sent this note in return - we would appreciate ANY help you could provide us!!! Thanks. Tatia Loring .... Here is my response to ST47:
Thanks for your response ST47, but please re-read the following. Our I SPY FORUM is NOT a casual message board. We are the main source for all current news about this 60s show. We have been around for 8 years, and have served as consultants on the new I SPY Book and on the I SPY CD. We are in touch with many of the production staff of the program. AND we HAVE BEEN linked to this Wikipedia page (and the one for ROBERT CULP) since 2005!!
IF Wikipedia's purpose is to help disseminate infomation about a topic, then our site should definitely be included for current and relevant information on "I SPY" ....
Thank you and your help is appreciated!! Tatia Loring
......
Original message ...
Please help us ... Our website has been listed as an "external link" on Wikipedia since I believe 2005 for both the "I SPY" (TV Show category) and on the "ROBERT CULP" pages. I SPY Forum - http://www.network54.com/Forum/172251/ (I Spy Forum - TV (Robert Culp, Bill Cosby) Our Forum is the premiere site for all relevant and current news and discussion topics relating to the subject of the 60s TV Show "I SPY." Our site has been active daily for the past 8 years. We have been consultants on the new "I SPY" Book and on the "I SPY" CD and a particpant in SPYFEST. We are NOT a typical message board, but the active participant in keeping the spirit of "I SPY" alive. We are in touch with production staff, writers, etc. from the show. Our site (as an "external link" was deleted the other day on both pages - I thought this was done in error and re-added our site, to find that it is gone again today. PLEASE check our site!!! Please do not dismiss the valuable and relevant content we offer because the word FORUM is in our title. We should be included on Wikipedia, as we are the most current and actively contributing site for information on "I SPY" available out there - and it's a disservice to your readers, if we are not included on these two pages. We've been a part of these Wikipedia pages for so long, please help us get re-instated. Thank you, Tatia Loring Tatia Loring 04:03, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

Hi Jreferee,
Tatia here again regarding the I SPY FORUM ... I really need your assistance, here. ST47 left this message for me on his talk page ... "It's a discussion site, where people talk to other people about stuff. It had been spammed, so it's automatically removed now, and it's against policy, so all the links were removed. You should discuss the link with other editors, and then add it, if there is a consensus to do so. ST47Talk 19:04, 21 March 2007 (UTC)"
---
I have no idea what he is talking about ... We have NOT been spammed, I am the webmaster and visit the site several times daily - and Network54 has lots of spam guards in place. And what does he mean - you should discuss the link with other editors" - who is he referring to - what editors?? I can barely find the right place to post messages here ... and do not even know if this is the correct place to contact you ....
It is very unfair to be lumped into a group and brushed aside, when we are the one site that provides current and relevant information regarding this topic. What do we need to do to get re-instated ... should I just add our link back in .....?? Thank you and your help is appreciated!! Tatia 20:55, 21 March 2007 (UTC)~
.......
RE: Hi Tatia. Per ST47's comment here, I set up a proposal to added the I Spy Forum link to the I Spy article here. -- Jreferee 21:32, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
.......
Hi again, Thank you so much Jreferee for your assistance!! Please let me know how to proceed. (I saw the comment from the abstaining editor that there may be another site out there - there isn't. We have been the resource site for I SPY for the past 8 years.) Our FORMAT allows us he flexibility to provide current information and is updated all the time. The author of the new I SPY Book is going to be inteviewed on a radio program this week-end. He wanted to give the I SPY Wikipedia page as the reference place to find a link to the FORUM, for anyone who wanted current information on I SPY. Is there any chance that our link could be up before the week-end? Also, will we be re-instated on the "Robert Culp" page also? Thank you again for all your help - manuvering around the back halls of Wikipedia can be quite daunting! Most sincerely, Tatia 03:31, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
01:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Should I be adding this to the I SPY TALK page"? Thank, Tatia
01:17, 23 March 2007 (UTC)~
- This should go on the article's talk page. I think the forum link was removed because the link consisted of spam. Real96 01:22, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
........
Hi Jreferee, I posted some additional informaton on the I SPY TALK page .... "The DJ" who at first Disapproved, added this note after I had posted my information, he wrote .... "If there are any references for that, then it can be added with references --TheDJ (talk • contribs • WikiProject Television) 07:06, 23 March 2007 (UTC)" - so I listed the references he asked for ....
How do we proceed from here .... ?? Thanks for your help, Tatia 03:05, 24 March 2007 (UTC)Tatia Loring

[edit] script
Very strange (I received another report just a minute before yours). What version is your Firefox at? Mine is 2.0.0.3. I did make some changes yesterday but they were minor. Can you look at the Javascript console (Tools/Error Console) and look for any red X's (errors) towards the bottom, just after you load any article page? (It may help to press "Clear" before loading the page.) The error messages are very helpful. It is definitely working for others, including me, because I see some edits on "Recent changes" right now. –Outriggr § 03:31, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- OK, this is odd. The script is working with my Firefox 2.0.0.3, but not my Internet Explorer. Eariler today I was getting a page load error message with Internet Explorer but am not even getting that now. My Firefox Javascript console is blank. I'm not sure how to press "Clear". -- Jreferee 03:44, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Film Bios
I have started a model of the Wiki Film bio page. It needs a tremendous amount of work but do you see the idea? Feel free to modify and improve it before we start it in the main space User:Ernst Stavro Blofeld/Film biography page model THanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 18:46, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- The parent to WikiProject Film Bios should be Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Arts and entertainment. Arts and entertainment. In developing WikiProject Film Bios, it may be important to ensure that it meshes with Arts and entertainment. Arts and entertainment includes Actors • Architects • Artists • Illustrators • Painters • Photographers • Sculptors • Comic artists • Comedians • Dancers • Directors • Musicians • Poets • Writers and critics. The scope of WikiProject Film Bios probably should include film actors, film artists, film illustrators, film photographers, film comedians, film dancers, film directors, film musicians, and film writers and critics. -- Jreferee 19:07, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Yes it should absolutely and include those people you said. The reason I want to combine actors with filmmakers is that I know the focus will tend to be on actors which will attract more people but I want the focus to be on all of them. ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 20:25, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
Remember though that film photographers are cinematographers, fiolm musicians are film score composers, film writers are screenwriters -I already have these. I only need to include film dancers (Choreogrpahers), artists (art directors). illustrators and film critics. I really appreciate any work you can put into this thanks ♦ Sir Blofeld ♦ "I've been expecting you" 20:30, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Deletion process, your rfa
Jreferee, I noticed your comment on my talk page and reviewed the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Deletion process. I'm surprised by the number of comments and added my own. I also have a question related to your rfa. Please don't take this as an insult, I really do not mean it to be. If you are given sysop status, would you consider including yourself to Category:Administrators open to recall? --Iamunknown 19:18, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi Iamunknown - I think the number of comments on the deletion process reflects the importance of the issue. It was something that I never considered and when I received your first post, did not think it necessary. I gave it some thought, then it made sense. Another reason I just thought of is that it is a good way to advertise that non-admins can some close XfDs, which will help reduce the backlog. As for your request, I generally don't take anything as an insult on Wikipedia, lol. I would not have a problem with listing myself on Administrators open to recall. -- Jreferee 15:51, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of newspapers in Bajo Nuevo Bank
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article List of newspapers in Bajo Nuevo Bank, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. --Andymarek 20:34, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] You are very much forgiven
It's not a problem, but thank you very much for that apology. A thing I have noticed about you is your ability to fully accept responsibility for your mistakes and learn from them very quickly. I think I could have been nicer both in my response on AN/I and my "oppose" vote on your Rfa. It's just that at the time you made your statement, I was having a very bad, bad time on Wikipedia. I had just had a serious argument with a couple of users and had resulted to very juvenile name-calling, which is very out of character for me since I try very hard to be nice. I've apologized to both of those users profusely and am now feeling a lot better about my time here. Stevenstone93 is just a kid who has some ignorant ass opinions that I'm sure he'll grow out of, and I want to help him, here and in life. He's actually written a decent article since being unblocked. Anyway, your apology is accepted, and you and I don't have any problems. Good luck. --Tractorkingsfan 21:04, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks! I did go through all your posts from March 14th on and I think that you responded reasonably under the circumstances. Things on this one grew so fast in a variety of locations that by the time I became aware of the situation and arrived back to the developed issues, I knew that I needed additional input and the passage of time to better reflect on the situation. It was fortunate (at least for the issue) that I had a pending RfA to bring in comments from neutral persons on the matter. Since the matter became public through my RfA, I wanted to make sure that I made a public apology in my RfA before it closed but didn't want to comment too soon with a less than adaquate post. Kla'quot's post in my RfA told me that I probably had enought input to figure out where I went wrong and that it was it was about time for me to apologize to you. -- Jreferee 23:56, 26 March 2007 (UTC) (An unexamined life is not worth living. - Socrates)
[edit] Thank you Jreferee
Jreferee, thank you very much for this post on your rfa. I admit I was taken aback when I read it. I don't think anyone on Wikipedia has ever called me their "friend". You really are a very kind and civil person. I sincerely hope that you are given the sysop user rights or that you at least get the some at some point in the future. I really think that you are willing and qualified to help out Wikipedia in the extra capacity as a sysop-ed administrator. Even if you are not, I consider you an "administrator" in a literal sense of the term: you really do already help "administrate" Wikipedia. I didn't even know I could do things like close xfd discussions before I came across the tfd you closed! Anyways, thank you very much again for your kind words. Best, Iamunknown 06:43, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I was new to closing XfDs, too. I found it very interesting that you and I had opposing views on a topic and found out that we both were right (or perhaps both were wrong!). Your initial post came across as being very sincere and I really respect that. Also, you had sage advise at a time when I really needed it. You might enjoy this post. RfA requires about at least 70% if not 80%. My RfA is not near that. My RfA is almost closed, so it looks like it will be months before I can take a stab at the mop. Perhaps this is a blessing in disguise since it will give me plenty of time to investigate from first-hand experience issues regarding non-admin closing of XfDs (lol). -- Jreferee 06:57, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- I know that rfa requires that large of a majority...it kind of stinks. It's funny; I really seriously thought you were an administrator when I first left the image-related note on your talk page and especially when you closed that tfd. Oh well, we can now spend more time figuring out what to do about non-administrator closings. I personally think that speedy closes should be within the realm of non-administrator closings. If only because I think that tfd you closed was a perfectly acceptable and justified close. Maybe we can work that out. --Iamunknown 16:22, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Just a quick note
Your a really good guy Jreferee. I'm sorry your Rfa didn't pass, but it certainly will in the not too distant future Ryanpostlethwaite contribs/talk 00:13, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Re:Good luck!
Thank you, Jreferee! I'm sad to see that your RfA did not pass, but I'd be optimistic and hope for the best in your future. It seems it was only one incident that led to all the opposition in your RfA. As many of the opposers stated, if you try again in a few months, I think you'll be fine. I hope to be back on Wikipedia after my smooth and speedy recovery. See you then. =) Nishkid64 00:16, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Spam
I wish you the very best. I think you have the potential to be one of the best admins and I really appreciate both your thoroughness and researching ability. Any chance I can interest you in WikiProject Spam? I think you could easily become one of our most skilled volunteers; researching edits, editors and domains is what we're all about. Give it some thought. --A. B. (talk) 01:34, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- I recently mediated a spam issue which resulted in the link poster providing a source to include the link in the article. I presently have a few commitments, but will keep it in mind. -- Jreferee 14:26, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for the work on Serge Voronoff! You managed to find a lot of stuff. Glad to see it should go up on 1 April if all goes according to plan. Hope Nishkid is back and recovered soon.
