Kazakhmys Plc (LSE: KAZ) is a UK-registered copper mining company which main assets are located in Kazakhstan. Its headquarters are in London. The headquarters of its main subsidiary, Kazakhmys Corporation, are in Dzhezkazgan, Kazakhstan. In October 2005 the company listed on the London Stock Exchange with an opening market capitalisation of £2.6 billion, making a billionaire of its main shareholder, Vladimir Kim.
Kazakhmys has a German subsidiary called MKM, a semi-product producer of long standing.
