Architect
From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
An architect is a person who designs buildings. Architects draw pictures with pens, pencils, and computers, and this is also called drafting. Sometimes they first make small toy-sized buildings called models to show the design.
Architects decide the size and shape of a building, and what it will be made out of. They are the key designers of any, and all buildings. Architects need to be good at math and drawing. They have to go to college and work for a long time. There are special tests that have to be taken before becoming an architect. For example, the tests make sure that architects know how to make the building stand up, without falling down and hurting people. They also know how to make a building attractive.
