Munich (German: München) is the third biggest city of Germany (after Berlin and Hamburg), and the capital of Bavaria. It has a population of 1,320,000. The metropolitan area of Munich includes the city itself, and all the suburbs around it, and has about 2.6 million people in it. It is one of the most important center for economy in Germany.

About 23% of the people living in the city are foreigners. Most of these came from Turkey, Croatia, Serbia and Greece. About 60% of the people in Munich are Catholic, about 20% are Protestant, and about 7% belong to other religious groups. The other 13% gave no religion
