Tibet
From Simple English Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Tibet is a region in the Himalaya mountains in Asia. Its capital is Lhasa. Most of the Tibetans are buddhists.
Tibet became part of the People's Republic of China in the 1950s, and the Chinese government says that it is a part of China from at least 18th century in Qing dynasty. Since then, many Tibetans died and many others fled to the neighbouring countries Nepal and India. It is reported that the Chinese government violates human rights in Tibet.
