Markville Shopping Centre

Markville Shopping Centre is a large shopping mall located in Markham, Ontario with 215 stores. The mall opened in 1982 and expanded in the early 1990s and added more space with restaurants on the south side in 2003.
The original sections of the mall features a concrete stream in the centre section of the walkway and used to collect coins for local charities. The stream was extended to the northeast sections in the 1990s.
The mall is the only major mall in Markham, Ontario and one of three major malls in south York Region. It is currently anchored by The Bay, Sears, Wal-Mart, and Winners/HomeSense. The Mall is located in one of Toronto's most affluent and fastest growing suburbs. It is complemented by an unequalled anchor store presence. The mall is owned by Toronto based developer Cadillac Fairview.
