Travel is a common recurring theme in the television show The Simpsons. Many of the episodes feature trips to various real life cities or countries, and several episode plots revolve around this.

- In "The Regina Monologues", the entire family, plus Grampa, travels to England after Bart earns 3,000 dollars and decides to take Marge on a nice trip.

- In "The Crepes of Wrath", Bart is sent to France as part of the student exchange program.
- In "Bart-Mangled Banner", the entire family is forced to flee the United States and in the end moves to France.
