James "Jamie" Van Fossen is the Iowa State Representative from the 81st District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives since 1995. He received his AA from Scott Community College.
Van Fossen currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Commerce committee; the Economic Growth committee; the Local Government committee; and the Ways and Means committee.
Van Fossen was re-elected in 2006 with 5,501 votes, defeating Democratic opponent Lauren Phelps. [1]
