Roger D. Thomas is the Iowa State Representative from the 24th District. He has served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1996-2000 and from 2000-present. He received his BS from Upper Iowa University.
Thomas currently serves on several committees in the Iowa House - the Local Government committee; the Veterans Affairs committee; the Ways and Means committee; and the Economic Growth committee, where he is chair. He also serves on the Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving as a representative in the Iowa House from 1996-2000, an unsuccessful candidacy for the Iowa Senate in 2000, and service as a trustee for Northeast Iowa Community College.
Thomas was re-elected in 2006 with 7,820 votes, running unopposed. [1]
