Phiolina Germi (フィオ・ジェルミ, Fio Germi^?), usually referred to as just Fio, is a fictional character from the Metal Slug series. She has also appeared in the King of Fighters series being playable for the first time in KOF: Maximum Impact 2.

Fio is the only daughter of a wealthy Italian family, after her birth her mother was unable to have any more children meaning for the first time in the history of the Germi family the heir and first born is female. The Germi family have produced a long line of soldiers and have tradition of their eldest child joining the army and Fio upheld the tradition, though she hopes to one day become a sports doctor[1] having studied chiropractics, acupuncture, and moxibustion at college.

Fio is a master sergeant of the Intelligence Agency's S.P.A.R.R.O.W.S, which serves as a special ops group for the government. As with her fellow comrades in Metal Slug 2 and beyond, she had risen through the ranks due to her service against General Morden.

Similar to Eri, Fio's pistol appears to be a webley MK VI.

• Fio is one of the favorite characters from Metal Slug series, appeared in various group artwork since her first appearance.
• Fio is the only character in Metal Slug series which story was retconned. Her SNK Playmore's story is different to her SNK's story (before the bankrupt).
• Fio is, along with Marco and Mars People, one of the few characters from this series who appeared in a fighting game, first being a striker in The King of Fighters 2000 and later as a playable character in The King of Fighters Maximum Impact 2.
• Fio appears in all SNK vs. Capcom: Card Fighters Clash series.
• Like Eri and Tarma, Fio appears as a cameo in Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, in one of Marco's wins.
