Jhun Hoon is a fictional character in the King of Fighters video game series. He made his first appearance in King of Fighters '99.

Jhun Hoon is a rival of Kim Kaphwan. The two came to know each other in the same Dojo when they were kids, and eventually they both became masters of separate, stylized aspects of Tae Kwon Do.
Upon a meeting with his Kim, Jhun Hoon noticed the presence of Kim's new "Rehabilitation project" consisting of Chang Koehan and Choi Bounge. Seeing Kim's ethic of how he treated them, Jhun Hoon decided that he would show him a more "efficient" (violent) way of management.
In the King of Fighters 2000 tournament, both men are confident of their abilities, and Kim decrees that Jhun enter the tournament in order to test their strength. Reaching the tournament finals, the two fighters anticipate the fall of the NESTS cartel, only to be forced to dodge the beam fired by the Zero cannons. Choi and Chang are not quite so lucky, however, and the impact results in the two switching bodies.
This is rectified prior to 2001' tournament thanks to Kim, and Jhun is prepared to enter this tournament to finish what they started, only to break his leg during an excursion while running across the street to get an autograph of Athena... only to learn it was a cardboard standee of her. Unable to enter, Kim promptly replaces him with May Lee. Whether Athena ever signed his cast, is unlikely, because she is probably unaware that this even happened.
By The King of Fighters 2003 tournament, however, Jhun's leg has made a recovery and he enters with Chang and Kim to prove that his abilities are better than Kim's, by means of the brand new free tag-off rule. But, as this reason would counterfeit Kim's ideals, Jhun gives the excuse that the Korean team must be well-represented in the tournament, as the three of them are the only Korean fighters in the tournament (being this why he chose to take Chang, instead of Choi, who in turn received from Kim the duty of staying and taking care of his house, Dong Hwan and Jae Hoon).

- Jhun appears as a Striker in KOF EX for the Game Boy Advance.
- Jhun appears in the background of the Korea stage in KOF 2002, seemingly oblivious to the fight, chatting away on his cellphone.
- Jhun is an avid fan, not only of the pop star, Athena Asamiya, but of J-Pop in a general sense, as it can be inferred by his treasured possessions. [1]
- According to SNK Playmore, the reason why Jhun hates his surname is because in hanja, his name is written 2 strokes less than "Kim", which was his original name.
- Jhun has allegedly stolen Kim's KuuSaJin (Dust Slicer) attack between '98 (when Kim had it) and '99 (Jhun's debut), and Kim has never had the technique since.
- Some players believe that Kang Baedal, his Another Striker in KOF 2000, is Jhun's pre-release design [2], just like Sho Kirishima for Kyo Kusanagi.
- In the Korean Team ending in KOF 2001, it is curious to note that Jhun appears with a cast on his arm, even though he actually broke his leg.
- Jhun is a unique character because he can actively switch between three fighting stances, counting his starting one. The other two are called Hawk Style and Eagle Style, Jhun can even perform specials that are unique to these stances.
- Jhun was suppose to be a criminal to join along with Chang and Choi in KOF 94 but Kim took his place to rehabilitate the two.
- Jhun lives in Japan,working as a Japanese lecturer.
