"I'm with Stupid" is a SpongeBob SquarePants episode from season two.'

Spoiler warning: Plot and/or ending details follow.

Brief summary: It is Starfish day, and Patrick's parents will be coming to visit him. He doesn't want them to know how stupid he is, so SpongeBob volunteers to pretend to be stupid just for the night. However, everyone seems to forget that SpongeBob is only pretending to be stupid.

Patrick's parents are about to visit him, so Spongebob feigns being a dummy after he makes a deal with Patrick, but Patrick forgets all about the deal making Spongebob exasperated.

When SpongeBob runs through Patrick's sand wall toward the end, the outside is shown through the wall. This is impossible due to it being underground and a tunnel is not shown for proof.
Despite Patrick not being their son, Janet and Marty knew his name without being told what it was.
Apparently, Patrick has forgotten how to eat in the past as evidenced by SpongeBob saying "Oh my gosh, Patrick! You've forgotten how to eat again! Don't worry, we'll get the funnel!" Patrick informs him that isn't the problem in which SpongeBob responds "Darn, I like the funnel."
Patrick's fake dad Marty is voiced Thomas F. Wilson. "Marty" is the name of Marty McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy and Thomas F. Wilson is the same actor as Biff Tannen the Back to the Future trilogy.
This was the first episode where Patrick shows his antagonastic side
When Patrick says, "WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE", it sounds almost identical to when he said it in 'Pre-Hibernation Week'.
When Patrick is mocking SpongeBob saying that SpongeBob annoys Squidward by prancing around yelling "I'M READY, I'M READY, I'M READY!", the captions say "HARMONY, HARMONY, HARMONY!"
Janet is voiced by Clea Lewis.
This episode marks the first time that Patrick makes fun of SpongeBob's clothes. He mocks them again in "Frankendoodle".
For animation reasons, this isn't really a goof, but when Patrick and his real parents are laughing at the end of the show, the interior of his house can be shown, which isn't deep and doesn't have any rooms at all.
In the Bahasa Malaysia version,when Patrick said "...there's a letter!",Patrick refers the "letter" as a mail letter,not an alphabet.

SpongeBob: (gasps) It's a note!

Patrick: But turn it around! Theres a letter! (Turns paper around revealing the letter "B")

SpongeBob: (gasps again) You're right!

Patrick: And I got this message from my parents! (pulls out a different piece of paper with a message from his parents on it.)

Spongebob: Once your parents see how dumb I am, they'll realize what a genius you are!

Patrick: But don't genius live in a lamp?

(Patrick's rock)

SpongeBob: No! I'm not dumb! I have a brain, See? Here's a picture of it!

Patrick: That must be actual size! (laughing)

SpongeBob: No! It's normal size and fully functional! See? 2 + 2 = 4!

Marty: He taught him math too!

SpongeBob: NNNOOOOOOOOO!!!

Marty: And you taught him to sing!

(steam comes out of SpongeBob's nose)

Marty: He's short circuiting; you must have taught him too much.

Patrick (after his 'parents' reveal their names) Janet? Marty? Who are you people?!
(Outside Patrick's rock)

Squidward: Does this lovely couple belong to you? They've been standing at my front door saying 'Where's Patrick?' all day! It's driving me nuts!

Patrick: Mom! Dad!

Mr. Star: Son! You recognized us this time!

Mrs. Star: And you remembered to get dressed today! (laughing)

(Patrick's rock)

Patrick: Oh, Spongebob If only you could hear how "stupid" you sound right now! Dumb people are always blissfully unaware of how dumb they really are. (starts drooling)

SpongeBob: But I was only pretending to be dumb! It was our plan, remember?

Spongebob: Don't worry Patrick. (clasping his fist on his palm) I'll be the dummy. When your parents see how dumb I act (clasps his fist again, points to Patrick smiling) they'll think your the smartest guy ever!

Spongebob: (speaking to Patrick's parents after Patrick told him to act smart) I have a confession to make. I lied about being stupid. I just acted like a fool so you'd appreciate Patrick a bit more. I know how to talk and eat and do laundry. I even separate the darks and the lights. So how bout we start over and try again. (lets out his hand to shake) Hi, I'm Spongebob Squarepants, and I am not a dummy.

Marty: (not realizing) Haha, amazing. Three minutes in the kitchen and our son has taught him to talk in complete sentences. (as Patrick enters) Oh, good work son. (winks)

Patrick: (winks) It wasn't easy Dad.
