It's Gary's bath-time, but he doesn't want to take a bath. SpongeBob thinks of countless ways to get Gary in the bath, but they don't work. Finally, it's SpongeBob that has to take a bath.

- It is also somewhat similar to Martin Stellman's For Queen and Country. As Denzel Washington's character, Reuben James, turned vigilant to clean up his crime-infested neighborhood in London which he did as he would walk off into the night, SpongeBob tried anything to get Gary clean but he ends up getting dirtier and has to take a bath instead.

- This episode runs 6 minutes and about 30 seconds long. It was the third episode running less than 11 minutes. The first two were "Help Wanted" and "Reef Blower".
- When SpongeBob cleans the chair, he says "I have something to chair with you!", but the captions say "I have something to share with you!".
- When SpongeBob cleans the dishes, he says "Dish is more like it!", but the captions say "This is more like it!".
- SpongeBob also says "Water you waiting for, Gary?", but the captions say "What are you waiting for, Gary?". On the "Sea Stories" DVD and VHS, the captions correctly say "Water you waiting for, Gary?", but still say "What are you waiting for, Gary?" on the Season 2 DVD box set.
- Comcast and Time Warner make a spelling error. Calling this episode "Gry Takes A Bath"
- SpongeBob says "You are going to take a bath, and you are going to get clean right now!", but the captions say "You're going to take a bath, and you're going to get clean now!".
- When SpongeBob hands Gary the soap and the duck, and after he says "I don't know what a snail would want with a brooch!", in the next shot the soap and the duck are gone.
- It's later revealed that SpongeBob's room is on a 3rd floor.
- In this episode we learn that Gary can float in midair and teleport from one place to another, although this is the only episode which he did it.
- During the tree scene, SpongeBob calls Gary "Gary the Snail", but closed captions simply say "Gary".
- The text style in the title card is the same as in Bubble Buddy.
