[edit] Plot
The episode opens up in Jellyfish Fields, where SpongeBob cheerfully catches a jellyfish, which he names "Twelvy". He then spots the blue jellyfish he's always wanted to catch, No-Name. SpongeBob uses all the tactics he can to capture No-Name, but he runs so fast that he blasts off and flies out of his pants, missing No-Name. Later, at the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob is on lunch break and is eating a Krabby Patty with jellyfish jelly. He gives a small sample to Fred, who is so amazed at the taste that he gives a "Jelly Patty" to all the customers. When Mr. Krabs discovers this, he is shocked at SpongeBob altering the formula. However, he quickly changes his mind when he finds out that Fred is coming to the Krusty Krab every day for the rest of his life! Mr. Krabs forces SpongeBob to catch more jellyfish, and eventually decreases the population of Jellyfish Fields down to four living creatures. SpongeBob walks away, but hears some buzzing. He quickly heads home, and finds spooky things happening, such as the lights going out and a faulty telephone connection. In the kitchen, SpongeBob discovers a Krabby Patty with blue jelly! No-Name captures SpongeBob and leads him to a factory, and find out that Mr. Krabs is draining the jellyfish of all their jelly and holding them captive! The two break through the windows, and SpongeBob threatens Mr. Krabs with a wrench. But instead, he fixes the squeaky bolts on the door. He then attempts to open the hatch and set the jellyfish free, but Mr. Krabs explains that the door only opens if he says "Open". He activates the hatch, and the jellyfish are free, getting revenge on Mr. Krabs with a nasty sting. Krabs decides that he's going to stick with the original Krabby Patties. SpongeBob decides that jellyfishing will remain a hobby to him. No-Name lands in SpongeBob's net, and decides to name him "Friend". The two have a handshake, but it ends up with Friend stinging SpongeBob's hand.
[edit] Trivia/Goofs
- When SpongeBob poured jellyfish jelly on his Krabby Patty his jar was empty, then when he poured some on the other fish's patty, the jar was full again.
- The Chum Bucket is visible through the front window of the Krusty Krab, but when the customers are watching the dancing fish while facing the front window the Chum Bucket can't be seen.
- When Spongebob is holding the wrench he states "The squeaky bolt on this door was driving me crazy" and tightens it. However in the very next shot of him, the bolts on the same door are not even there
- When Mr.Krabs says that the door will only open if he says open,It should open the first time he says open, but it waits until the end of the sentence.
- Closed-captioning error: when SpongeBob is being followed by the blue jellyfish, he says, "It feels like somebody... wants to sell me something!" However, the captions said "tell" instead of "sell."
