Brief replies may be posted here, but lengthy discussions should be confined to the talk pages of the articles involved. After articles are merged (or a consensus that the articles should not be merged is reached), please remove them from the list below.
- If you want to show off your work, use the talk page.
- Category mergers should not be proposed here. Please see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion.
- For a complete list of articles with current merger proposals, please see Category:Articles to be merged.
- If you need help with renaming or moving, consult Wikipedia:How to rename (move) a page.
- For guidance on merging, consult the Integration WikiProject.

[edit] March 2007
- Merge 0207 and 0208 into Big Number Change. This is a proposal by User:Chriscf, but it is being contested so I am listing this here to encourage wider input. --A bit iffy 07:05, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Motown music into Motown Sound. The topics are nearly identical. The Motown Sound article is older and probably better written, plus "Motown sound" is a fairly well-known description. Vandelay 21:50, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Computer role-playing game and Console role-playing game into Role-playing game (video games). The two topics have more similarities than differences; and their differences are dealt with at Cultural differences in computer and console role-playing games anyway. Percy Snoodle 11:28, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Yugoslav First League and Yugoslav League Championship into Yugoslav First League. The two articles were tlaking the same football league top division of SFR Yugoslavia. Matthew_hk tc 15:06, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Unitarian Christianity and Unitarian Christian Groups and Publications into Unitarianism. Those articles duplicate much of the coverage of the much more balanced and complete Unitarianism article. --jofframes 18:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Youssuf Ishmaelo into Yusuf İsmail, same person. The merge template has been there since August, few votes. denizTC 06:49, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Melting temperature into DNA melting. I feel the name "melting temperature" is too vague to justify something specific to DNA, and it can easily be a section within the DNA melting page.-Madeleine 01:23, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Polymerase chain reaction#Primers into Primer (molecular biology), as the PCR article is very large. I also propose moving Polymerase chain reaction#PCR optimization section into a new article "PCR optimization". -Madeleine 00:53, 23 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Tar paper and Roofing felt. Tar paper could be very well a subsection of roofing felt. Gerhard51 10:27, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Overselling and Overbooking. Overselling seems the more general term, but overbooking is the more complete article. 75.36.159.93 06:33, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Adult Kickball with Kickball. There's no reason why this shouldn't be included in a separate section of the kickball page, as the games are played the same way for kids as they are for adults. Amnewsboy 17:07, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Down By The Salley Gardens with Down by the Sally Gardens. They are alternate spellings, but I'm not sure which spelling is more common. Benjamin Ong 06:24, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge and Redirect Dade City (Amtrak station) with Dade City Atlantic Coast Line Railroad Depot. Both stations are one in the same. ---- DanTD 17:10, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Airsplat and MilSim into Airsoft. Airsplat is airsoft, but someone thought they were different. MilSim also applies to airsoft, and would fit well into the article.65.197.192.130 21:38, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Kitchen rendering and Greaves (food) into Rendering (food processing). Kitchen rendering and industrial rendering are basically the same processes, however, one article discusses it on a kitchen scale, the other on an industrial scale. Greaves are a byproduct of rendering – there does not seem to be enough content (or even potential content) to justify breaking it off into its own article. Discuss at Talk:Rendering (food processing). Peter G Werner 19:40, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge TV Junkyard into Cathode ray tube - it doesn't contain any information that isn't in the Cathode ray tube article, and I can't find any indications that a "TV Junkyard" is a specific type of facility. Mary quite contrary 17:02, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- CD80 and CD86 into B7 (protein) - both are subtypes of the B7 protein, could deserve seperate articles, community feedback would be appreciated xC | ☎ 18:06, 10 March 2007 (UTC)
- Created kind into Baraminology. There's a huge amount of overlap in the subjects - one's a concept and the other's the attempts to justify it. However, while this direction of merger might make it easier to deal with some NPOV and referencing issues in the Created kind article, it might be appropriate to end it at Created kind, as the more general term. Adam Cuerden talk 19:35, 5 March 2007 (UTC)
- List of basic topics in classical studies to Classics. Newly created list duplicates info in destination. Plus newly created list is work of only one editor. Wassupwestcoast 02:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- The 2 topic lists in Classics are poorly implemented and out of place, and really should be replaced by prose. --The Transhumanist (AWB) 13:03, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- Star seed and Starseed (disambiguation), basically the same page but their is independent information on both which is not listed in the other. --GracieLizzie 18:21, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Water fuel cell into Water-fuelled car. They cover very similar terrain.
SteveBaker 03:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Oi (mobile phone network) and Oi Internet into Oi (telecommunications). Their parent company, Telemar, has rebranded to Oi. Viakenny 03:34, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] February 2007
- Merge Inhibited sexual desire with Sexual arousal disorder, or at least explain what how those two can be differentiated. --Abdull 13:03, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
- Further merge Female sexual arousal disorder into Sexual arousal disorder xCentaur | ☎ 20:17, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Cat behavior and Feline ethology. Both articles are about the same thing. Pigslookfunny 01:36, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Languedoc wine into Languedoc-Roussillon. The small article on Languedoc wine could easily be integrated. Additionally, the region of France is "Languedoc-Roussillon" and the wines from the two areas ("Languedoc" and "Roussillon") don't need separate mentions. This is reflected by the consensus of the wine project and France project which identify the region as the Languedoc-Roussillon. mroconnell 11:28, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge African tribal masks into Mask. The article on masks could easily handle a devoted section to African masks with the minute amount of information on that page. A separate article on "African" masks seems too vague, there are too many styles of masks, and way too many cultures creating them to have them grouped together in one article. - HammerHeadHuman 04:40, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Xin Dynasty to Wang Mang. The Xin article currently is sparse and the concept cannot be seriously discussed outside of Wang. This follows the example of Second Zhou Dynasty, now redirecting to Wu Zetian. Kelvinc 10:10, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Cast of There's Something About Mary to There's Something About Mary. Cast list in not specially long or elaborated to have a specfic article. --Rotring 18:23, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Silkworm (game) to Silkworm (arcade game). Two different articles about the exact same game. Can't people search until they write articles? JIP | Talk 14:52, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge yo, Blair to yo. We definitely don't need a whole article about one single spoken greeting just because it was Bush who said it. JIP | Talk 08:39, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting into Forgotten Realms. I don't see why the book is notable in and of itself - surely it and its history can be discussed adequately on the page about the setting which it describes. Hairy Dude 22:19, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge The Silence (producer) and Mark Maclaine because this is the same person. I added merge tags, but they were removed. --Geniac 18:42, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Wikipedia:Schools (aka WP:SCHOOL) and Wikipedia:Notability (local churches and other religious congregations) (aka WP:CONG) into Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) (aka WP:CORP). NOTE: Wikipedia:Notability (organizations) (aka WP:ORG) was recently merged into WP:CORP. Agent 86 04:26, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Mumm-Ra_the_Ever-Living into ThunderCats. The character specific page has some good info, however this seems to be repeated in part in the main article. Also none of the other characters have seperate pages. Either the Mumm-Ra article should be expanded and other character pages should be added or else it should be merged into the main page. Elaverick 18:38, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Pennsylvania Route 41 with Delaware Route 41. Both pages are stubs, both roads lead into one another, and a new infobox for both similar to Delaware/Maryland Route 54 could be added to it. -- DanTD 16:16, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge The Burgate School And Sixth Form Centre into Fordingbridge as recommended in Wikipedia:Schools. The former page has few citations, the institution is not very notable. Expansion of the page may add to the amount of unverifiable info... ? 82.33.75.53 21:36, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Yaesu ft-107m, Yaesu FT-847, Yaesu VX-7R, and others into Yaesu (brand). See merge discussion and reasoning for background. --StuffOfInterest 13:25, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Asian Communication Resource Centre and Nanyang Technological University Libraries Aarontay 08:23, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge It Should Happen To You and It Should Happen to You --Darev 15:26, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge MacKenzie Arena into McKenzie Arena. A5RoadDogg 21:15, 10 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Baloch (tribe) into Baloch people. Mion 20:49, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Megan Marshak into death section of Nelson Rockefeller. Marshak's article will be a perpetual stub, or a list of various unprovable conspiracy theories about the one night of her life that is claimed to be notable. --Dual Freq 12:16, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge List of Sarawak Museum curators and Sarawak Museum Journal into the article Sarawak Museum. All three are currently small articles; the two proposed for merging are not capable of expansion and their content belongs naturally in the Museum article, which I would hope could be expanded later. Two comments on the Talk:Sarawak Museum support the merger. I would do it myself, but I am new to the merging process and don't want to upset anybody. Emeraude 21:28, 3 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Ursa Major and Big Dipper. - 85.8.124.246 13:01, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Abbey Konowitch into Hollywood Records. The A.K. article contains info that mostly pertains to Hollywood Records and, given the controversy about allegations of sexual abuse at the company, I think its safer on a single article. --Robdurbar 09:10, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
- Merge CGPA into Grade (education). This would be logical as GPA already redirects to Grade (education). - Jvhertum 08:33, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] January 2007
- Merge A Lie Agreed Upon, Part 1 into Deadwood (TV Series) - Article about Deadwood episode that should probably be merged into the main Deadwood article Elocina 12:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

- Merge all the sociological time line articles - which are mostly devoid of any content - listed in Timeline of sociology to that page. Roberdin 00:00, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Stunner (cattle) into Captive bolt pistol - two articles on the same subject. Foxhill 22:31, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Lester James Peries and Lester James Peiris - two articles on the same person. Verify spelling. AFAIK the second one is the correct one, in spite of Google result numbers (17,000 vs. 172). Krankman 14:23, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Feathered headdress and War bonnet
- Merge List of Bengali language authors with List of Bengali authors. Perhaps good to keep the former as a subset of the latter, since there are bengali authors who haven;t written in Bengali as well.Rumpelstiltskin223 04:56, 22 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Closed rides and attractions into the various List of past... pages that already exist and are maintained by people familiar with each park. For example, List of past Epcot attractions, List of past Magic Kingdom attractions, etc. As a placeholder, perhaps simply listing all the different List of past... pages on the original page will suffice as a disambiguation page.SpikeJones 17:28, 17 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge List of British pop musicians of today into List of British pop musicians of the 2000s - synonymous lists. PC78 20:27, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Road Rules: 360, Road Rules: Asia (2007), and Road Rules 14: California Adventure (2007) into Road Rules 2007: Viewer's Revenge. Several articles about the new season of Road Rules have been started by different editors; all content should be in the same article. --ALL IN 02:53, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Koniakow lace into Koniaków because Koniakow lace is the Polish version of Irish crochet, and would be more relevant in the Koniaków page. --Lmblackjack21 11:26, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Chang (surname) into Zhang (surname) as the content overlaps a good deal re 張. Fayenatic london 14:07, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Perezhilton.com into Perez Hilton. Redirect first link to second. Same information, the person and his blog do not merit two seperate entries.
- Merge Motorbike Thailand into Economy of Thailand. I'm thinking about adding a brief sentence or two in the Economy of Thailand article about Thailand's motorbike industry. Sue H. Ping 20:19, 7 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Cutaneous anthrax and Inhalation anthrax and Woolsorters' disease into the main article on Anthrax. Alchemystical 18:19, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Erb-Duchenne palsy with Erb's palsy. They are the same. It will be better to name the final article 'Erb's palsy' as this term is more frequently used. Alchemystical 18:19, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Newark Arena to Prudential Center. Newark Arena has been renamed Prudential Center. Prudential Center previously was redirected to Prudential Tower. This request is to get the edit history of the Newark Arena article under the Prudential Center name. Milchama 14:45, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Internet Society Bulgaria to Internet Society - Bulgaria. The organization apparently has two pages here on Wikipedia. The one without the '-' was cited for copy edit and is not even the correct title of the group, as evidenced all over their homepage [1]. The category for Communications in Bulgaria should also be added to the Internet Society - Bulgaria's page. Crumnut 02:47, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Carousel In The Country into Robert B. Sherman. See Talk:Carousel In The Country for discussion. Please note that several very similar articles about other paintings by this person were subject to mandatory merge orders as per a recent afd discussion[2]. Please also see that discussion. Unfortunately I missed this particular painting out in the original afd nomination. Putting this notice here to generate consensus for the merge of the Carousel painting (one editor is opposing the Carousel merge despite the recent afd result) Bwithh 23:18, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Motown Sound into Motown Records. See the Talk:Motown Records page for rationale. Vandelay 19:07, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- Fetishism section (only) of Sexual objectification to Fetishism. Seeking comment on this proposal[3] in Talk:Sexual objectification / edgarde 06:29, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
- LPI Media with PlanetOut Inc.. The latter bought the former and they've since merged (in reality).
- Probe Entertainment with Acclaim Cheltenham. Both are names of the same videogame studio. --Krótki 16:46, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge one sheet (film) back into movie poster. A one-sheet is a movie poster size/term, and this page is redundant and can be summarized as part of the main article with a single sentence. -Jca2112 01:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- Merge Federal grant into the Federal grants and awards section of Federal assistance in the United States. -Mtmelendez 13:05, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

- Merge WWA The Eruption, WWA The Inception, WWA The Reckoning, WWA The Revolution and WWA Retribution. Certainly notable pay-per-views but not notable enough have their own individual article. Normy132 11:16, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] December 2006
- Merge Daijō Tennō into Cloistered rule (exactly the same subject). Švitrigaila 23:16, 29 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Energy Blue and Luna (theme) into a general article about theming provided by Microsoft for the theming system built into Microsoft Windows XP. Putting them into separate articles almost seems unnecessary when the Energy Blue also contains information about extra new themes Microsoft has created - Chris (Talk) (Contribs) 18:00, 26 December 2006 (UTC)
- Haditha killings and Haditha massacre. — ceejayoz talk 14:47, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

- Merge United Colonies of Vancouver Island and British Columbia into Colony of British Columbia - "British Columbia" was the name given to the united colony, and this period, described in a relatively short article, could be included as background context. Fishhead64 21:07, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

- Merge Scaffolding Theory into Instructional scaffolding - duplication of content Jschwa1 13:23, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Prorogation into Parliamentary session. You can't have one without the other, and together they would be one start-class article rather than two stub-class ones. --Arctic Gnome 18:29, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge William Winlock Miller High School and Olympia High School (Washington) because they are the same school. Either one would work as the page that got all the info, but Olympia High School would be better because that is the name everyone knows it as. WmCliff 23:25, 17 December 2006 (UTC)
- Can someone please merge the history of Watermead Parish Council into Watermead, Buckinghamshire. I have merged the text, it just needs a history merge now. -- Roleplayer 16:41, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

- Merge Bingo (US) and Housie into Bingo. See discusion. Madeinsane 00:46, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge stubs Meadowbank ferry wharf, Sydney and Rydalmere ferry wharf, Sydney into main Parramatta River ferry services, Sydney article. Each stub is in itself non-notable, and has little prospect for expansion. Joestella 15:31, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge stubs Balmain East ferry wharf, Sydney, Kirribilli ferry wharf, Sydney and McMahons Point ferry wharf, Sydney into main Inner Harbour ferry services, Sydney article. Each stub is in itself non-notable, and has little prospect for expansion. Joestella 15:31, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge 14 stubs (starting with Central MLR station, Sydney) covering stops on Sydney's Central-Lilyfield tram line into main Metro Light Rail network article. Each stub is in itself non-notable, and has little prospect for expansion. Joestella 12:39, 11 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Sovereign Military Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem of Rhodes and of Malta with Knights Hospitaller - these two articles are about the same topic.
- Merge Freedom of speech (United States) into Freedom of speech in the United States. I'm not sure why we need two different articles. -- SilverStar★ 02:30, 8 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Creolization into Creole language#Development of a creole language. The article needs some serious work, and as its really just a verbification (and the content is largely covered in the metioned section), I think it would be prudent to merge it. Gsnixon 12:50, 6 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Brig into Brigantine. The fact that Brig and Brigantine are not synonymous does not justify a separate page for Brig if it is only a stub. Unless there is significant content that clearly delineates one type of ship from another, not just a slight modification of the masts and ship construction, then the articles belong together, not separately. Gohiking 19:18, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Nakatomi, Yamanashi and Shimobe, Yamanashi into Minobu, Yamanashi. Because in the Japanese site of Wikipedia, they merged both Shimobe (下部町) and Nakatomi(中富町) into Minobu (身延町) Example 1Example 2. BigBang19 10:00, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] November 2006

- Merge Most Holy Place, Holy of Holies, and Kadosh Hakadashim into one or two articles. If two articles, one would general and cross-religion and one would be religion-specific. - Merge Jutiapa, Jutiapa into Jutiapa. I think the second is the best name, without any other page with this name (except Jutiapa (department)). Zyxwvut-Bot 03:58, 9 November 2006 (UTC) for Hégésippe
- Merge Mazatenango, Suchitepéquez into Mazatenango. I think the second is the best name, without any other page with this name. Zyxwvut-Bot 02:07, 9 November 2006 (UTC) for Hégésippe

- Merge Setaside with Set-aside, or perhaps delete the former which is an inferior duplicate. Ben MacDui 09:48, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Begum Nawazish Ali with Ali Saleem; a lot of what is contained within the article Begum Nawazish Ali seems to apply to Ali Saleem, the performer who plays the character of Begum Nawazish Ali. Either this article should be merged into Ali Saleem, or the article should be re-written to focus more on the character of Begum Nawazish Ali. QazPlm 07:17, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Ancestor worship with Veneration of the dead; the latter is a broader term which encompasses things which are not specifically "worship" (something some religions have a problem with for non-deities). -- nae'blis 04:01, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Abraham Lincoln in fiction with Cultural depictions of Abraham Lincoln: the later seems to encompass the former. --YankeeDoodle14 02:04, 5 November 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Juticalpa with Juticalpa, Olancho: same subject, but I don't know what is the best name for the final article (it seems that there is no other place with that name, but I'm not sure). Zyxwvut-Bot 04:21, 4 November 2006 (UTC) for Hégésippe

- Merge Károly Khuen-Héderváry into Dragutin Karoly Khuen-Héderváry. Information in the latter article reveals that they are about the same person; (But the first name in the latter should be changed; Karoly -> Károly; the acute accent shouldn't be omitted if used in the surname.) --Adolar von Csobánka (Talk) 22:51, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
- Merge many into Character class (Dungeons & Dragons). The entire group of articles are mirrored from the games SRD. shadzar|Talk|contribs 16:11, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- Merge makkara to sausage. Makkara (a Finnish word meaning simply "sausage") is really not that different from common-or-garden sausages. Most Finns don't even acknowledge any special quality which would distinguish between makkara and other kinds of sausages. JIP | Talk 17:40, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Portal:Forums and Portal:Internet Forums. They both cover the same territory, and it is clear one is redundant. Personally, I see the latter as having the better, or at least less ambiguous, name. Badbilltucker 14:26, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
- Propose to merge Ticonderoga class aircraft carrier into Essex class aircraft carrier. The building of both type overlaps. The Essex class usually describes both the short-hull (Essex) and long-hull (Ticonderoga) variants, with little difference between the two othet than length. As such, there is consideralble overlap between the two articles, and neither article is that long. Post war, some of both types underwent the same types of modifications (such as receiving angled deck), while others of both types remained unmodified. Most historical assessments deal with the entire history of both types together. Discuss at Talk:Essex class aircraft carrier. -BillCJ 05:33, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- Propose to merge Ain't it Funny (Murder Remix) into Ain't It Funny. The former article is about a specific version of song in the latter article. I do not think the information in each article is substantial enough to justify them being split up, furthermore people looking for information on the song might be confused by there being (at least) two articles about it. Chsf 20:25, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
- Propose to merge Nasadiya Sukta into Bharat Ek Khoj. The former presents absolutely no information that is not in the former, and looks rather unprofessional as well. 134.84.33.72 20:28, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

- Propose to merge Milk fetishism and Erotic Lactation. This appears to be an attempt to move selected contents from the older article to a new one. May need help to prevent a dispute. Robotman1974 21:10, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
- Propose to merge St. Columba's College, Dublin with St Columba's College. The two pages discuss the same school and have very similar information. Perhaps one should be changed to a redirect. Thanks. - Pongo489 10:03, 8 October 2006 (UTC)
- Propose to merge Electromagnetic therapy into Magnetic therapy. This merge was performed once before, but was reverted and is currently disputed on Talk:Magnet therapy. Regardless of the merit of electromagnetic therapy vs. magnetic therapy, they are closely related and do not warrant separate articles. johnpseudo 19:10, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
- It would be nice to merge but currently I see some disputes with confussing certain POVs. On one hand their appears to be some strong skepticism against magnet therapy but on the other hand electromagnetic therapy is used by physiotherapy and some cancer treatment. I think it would be wise to keep them seperate for these reasons nevertheless suggestions to try and resolve this problem would be appreciated. On the other hand, (just off the top of my head), I think I remember someting saying that magnet therapy and electromagnetic therapy is about the same thing. But the quote went like this "Electromagnetic therapy, also known as electromagnetism, bioelectricity, magnetobiology, magnetic field therapy and magnetic healing, applies electromagnetic energy to the body to treat disease." Unfortunatelly I don't see any sourced relationship between both. Putting all this wiki rule stuff asside... and the possibility to confuse what appears to be two different methodes of delivering an electrogmatic field. I admit it would be nice to have something comprehensive yet non-conflicting that could encopass all of these. --CyclePat 00:27, 14 October 2006 (UTC)
- This is a terrible merge since it puts the more general article as a section in the less general article. There has been plenty of opposition on the talk page. Don't do it. ObsidianOrder 19:02, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
- P.S. The merge proposal above says Magnetic therapy but that is just a redirect to Magnet therapy. Also the merge I undid was to Magnet therapy. The two are not the same: "magnet" means just permanent magnets (typically worn close to the body for extended periods), "magnetic" would encompass any EM field, however produced, the main active component of which is magnetic. ObsidianOrder 20:55, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
- I second that proposition makes sense. Plus we could put topography EMF scanning. --CyclePat 22:38, 30 November 2006 (UTC)
- Propose to multiple-merge Anoxic sea water, Oxygen minimum zone, and Hypoxic zone into Hypoxia (environmental). This is part of an ongoing process to rationalise all the anoxia and hypoxia articles, see disambiguation page at Hypoxia, which would benefit from some simplification. Aim is to resolve Hypoxia into hypoxia (medical) and hypoxia (environmental) Ex nihil 05:35, 4 October 2006 (UTC)
- Newfoundland National Convention & Newfoundland referendums, 1948 – I started the second article after seeing it on the requested article section of WP:CANADA. - Assisted living and Retirement home. I don't think there's much difference between the two. --CliffC 12:25, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
- Not entirely sure, but I vaguely suspect that many people in assisted living communities would be quite irate and offended to hear they were living in a retirement home. It may be true that in practise that the precise place where you draw the line between which is which may be difficult to draw; nevertheless, the question of what title to put the merged article should prove to be quite thorny. -- Cimon Avaro; on a pogostick. 19:21, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
- Fuel mixture into Air-fuel ratio - the former doesn't have much linking to it, and the latter is more established on Wikipedia. AeroKnight 18:14, 24 September 2006 (UTC)
- Administrative receivership and Administrative Receivership. The latter should die in favour of the former, to comply with MoS on capitalisation. Unfortunately, expert attention is needed to since insolvency practice is a very specialist aspect of law, with different practice in different jurisdictions. --Concrete Cowboy 21:25, 23 September 2006 (UTC)
- Intercalated Games and 1906 Summer Olympics. Both pages feature nearly identical information, and the same headings Origin, First Intercalated Games, Destiny, Downgrading, and Winter Sports. PolarisSLBM 17:58, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Section d'Or and Puteaux Group. Both articles are about the same group of artists: la Section d'Or, a group based in Puteaux, mostly refered to as Section d'Or --Playtime 15:02, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- hammered dulcimer and psaltery... in the first page's discussion there are propositions for merge with dulcimer or with cymbalum, that are completely different instruments... while "psaltery" is exactly the same thing (notice that in many languages they have the same name, and in English the choice between the words "psaltery" and "hammered dulcimer" usually depends only from the geographic location or from use - picking strings or hitting with small hammers). - Gilligan's Island (video game) and The Adventures of Gilligan's Island. IMDb only lists one game, both articles claim they were made within two years, the former links to a page about a game with the same name as the latter. VolatileChemical 18:59, 16 September 2006 (UTC)

- Christian Science and Church of Christ, Scientist. These two articles have considerable overlap and should be either merged or reorganized into non-overlapping articles. Church of Christ, Scientist seems to be the better written and organized of the two. I'm happy (given time) to do the reorganization but would expect some push-back. Digitalican 05:30, 14 September 2006 (UTC)
- A Limnological catastrophe & limnic eruption merger is recommended. They both overlap rather extensively—the translation of the Russian article has the better structure and the English article has the clearer text. Looking for an author to combine. Williamborg (Bill) 04:19, 12 September 2006 (UTC)
- Ordination and Holy Orders. There is total overlap of the subject matter, but it is a little sensitive as most protestant denominations don't have a concept of Holy Orders. --Hroðulf (or Hrothulf) (Talk) 17:29, 7 September 2006 (UTC)
- David Copperfield (character) and David Copperfield (novel). David Copperfield (character) refers to the main character of David Copperfield (novel). As the main character is fictional and the book acts as a biography, any information that is relevant to the main character is relevant to the book. As the article stands now, it is simply a rehash of the plot that already exists in the novel article.

- Merge ISTAR into C4ISTAR, and merge the elements of Surveillance and Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance, Surveillance, and Target Acquisition which describe a function into C4ISTAR. As a military function, these all mean the same or similar things. I propose discussion occur here at Talk:C4ISTAR. -- MCG 03 Sept 06
- Merge Kobolds in gaming and Kobold (Dungeons & Dragons) into Kobold. Do we really need 3 pages about Kobolds? One on the general case, one for D&D, and one for other games? I don't think I have the skill to do this myself, though (not to mention the Koboldic knowledge that I would need), so I'd appreciate any help. -- GumbyProf: "I'm about ideas, but I'm not always about good ideas." 03:40, 4 September 2006 (UTC)
- Merge John Prescott: Contentious events into John Prescott. Material was recently removed on the grounds of excessive article size (although even with the expunged material, the overall article length was around ~34 kb; cf, for example, Tony Blair, at ~>80 kb). Consensus was not established, and a recent AfD on John Prescott: Contentious events (where 'Merge and redirect' was not accepted as an option) provided significant support for a merge. The current situation poses significant POV problems for both articles. Badgerpatrol 00:10, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

- Merge Environmental design into Sustainable design, writing a new article for the former. Currently, the former is described as synonymous with the latter, which is actually a neologism (albeit a widespread one). [edit] Community-supported merger proposals
Please shift the merge proposal from above to the list below once there is consensus to merge the article(s).
- Merge History of anarchism with Anarchism/historical and Origins of anarchism; this merge is likely to be controversial, in part because the NPOV is questioned on at least one of the articles. All three of the articles seem to address the same topic from different perspectives but with significant duplication of effort. --Vampyrecat 17:38, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

- Merge Residual sum of squares, Sum of squares, and Total sum of squares into Least squares. You might consider combining them with Regression analysis, but RA can be performed with methods other than least squares. --DanielPenfield 00:46, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- Floral Park Memorial High School, New Hyde Park Memorial High School, Elmont Memorial High School, H. Frank Carey Junior/Senior High School, and Sewanhaka High School are, like most school articles, fairly non-notable and major cruftmagnets; they should be merged into Sewanhaka Central High School District. Paul 19:18, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- Framing (communication theory) and Framing (psychology) should probably be merged; there was already a corresponding proposal on the talk pages, but apparently no-one felt competent to carry it out. Loaded language should also be considered, as it appears to be pretty much the same thing. The discussion is at Talk:Framing (communication theory). Joriki 06:47, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- Merge Binion's Horseshoe and Binion's Gambling Hall and Hotel. The same casino, just under different ownership. A section detailing the history and current status in one article should suffice. ⇔ EntChickie 04:19, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

Individually these shopping centres are non-notable. Collectively they are an identifiable element of Retailing in Australia, and whilst they are notable within their own small community each could easily be a single section on a suburb/town page, and a similar single section on the proposed page Westfields Shopping Centres in Australia.
