List of CW affiliates

The following is a list of affiliates of The CW Television Network, which launched September 18, 2006, together with their former affiliation. The new network resulted from the shutdown of both the WB and UPN networks, both of which had begun in January 1995.

The new network is based around 16 WB affiliates owned by the Tribune Company (co-owner of the WB along with Time Warner) and 11 UPN affiliates owned by CBS Corporation. The CW covers approximately 95.289 percent of U.S. television homes. The largest of these additional affiliate groups are Pappas Telecasting, with ten affiliates (six broadcast stations, one digital and three local cable channels); Sinclair Broadcast Group, which affiliated eight of its stations to The CW after a reported two month dispute over reverse compensation to the network; and ACME Communications, which committed broadcast stations in all seven markets in which it operates.

¹These stations will carry The CW Television Network on a digital subchannel viewable to anyone with a digital television. In these cases, the channel listed is the actual digital channel (eg. "13", not a virtual channel such as "27.2", for WKYT).

Note: According to an article in The Oklahoman (January 26, 2006), UPN affiliate KAUT-TV Oklahoma City was referenced in error in the initial announcement. It was acquired by The New York Times Company from CBS in late 2005. The station and My Network TV made an official announcement of affiliation with that network August 24, after KAUT was shown as an affiliate on the network website August 22. The CW affiliated with the station KOCB in Oklahoma City instead.
